I get shaken awake, I sit up and see Sigmund above me. "What time is it?" I ask. I look at the clock, seven-forty five in the morning. "Why did you wake me up so early?" I ask again.

"Zita told me to come and get you so we could talk about things," He says, pulling me up out of bed.

"How long have you been awake?" I ask, as I rub my eyes and stand up.

"I've been up since three am. Insomnia comes with the territory. I get an average of two to three hours of sleep at night. You'll have to learn how to deal with the lack of sleep when you become the Angel of Death," He explains as we walk down the stairs to the living room where Zita and Isa are already waiting for us.

"Ok, the gang's all here so we can begin figuring out where we go from here," Zita says calmly," So your name is Sigmund right, how do you know the girls?"

"He was in a few classes with us until he graduated last year. We really bonded during that time and became good friends," I lie through my teeth.

"Why haven't I heard you talk about him before?" Zita asks impatiently.

"We felt like since I was a social outcast and an orphan that we wouldn't announce our friendship to the world because I didn't want to ruin the girl's awesome reputation at school. I told them to keep me a secret from everyone so they wouldn't be branded. That and I didn't want to ruin my reputation at school by hanging out with kids two years younger than I am," Sigmund says with a silver tongue.

"I can understand that feeling I was the outcast when I was younger. Did you mention you were an orphan?" Zita asks quizzically.

"Yes I am, my parents died in a car accident that also killed my little sister a few years ago. I was naturally attracted to Isa and Maria because they remind me of my little sister. I miss her so much and to have them there keeps her feeling alive for me," Sigmund says convincingly.

"Wait you're that Sigmund? I was told you were dead," Zita says confused.

"What do you mean?" I ask, cocking my head to the side.

"Yes by the way thank you for saving my life back then Nurse Zita, I never had the chance to thank you until now. Thank you for giving me a will to live and the tools I needed to push through," Sigmund says smiling.

"Well Sigmund you're welcome to stay here as long as you continue to mentor the girls and treat them right. If I sense anything is going on I will not hesitate to throw you out," Zita says like a mother bear defending her cubs.

"I accept those terms, you must really be attached to them and I respect that. I promise I will not hurt them in any way," Sigmund says reassuringly.

"Sigmund can we talk in my room for a moment," I say motioning for Isa to follow us," Zita can you excuse us."

"Yeah sure," Zita says, still a little confused.

"Okay what the hell was that?" I ask Sigmund confused.

"That was a little trick that we angels can use. We can implant memories into someone's thoughts, but we can only use it in emergencies or when we have to protect ourselves," He explains calmly.

"Can you do that to us?" Isa and I ask in unison.

"No it doesn't work on other angels, wait. I figured out why Liam made me kill your mom instead of just hypnotizing you, now. I've been trying to figure it out since we met but, that explains it," He says halfheartedly.

"Since we're angels we can't be hypnotized, so that means everything we are doing is our own free will?" I ask rhetorically.

"Exactly, you are both extremely smart and know when you only have one choice presented to you," He says reassuringly. I take a step back to try to process everything. I look at Sigmund his head droops and he frowns, "And before you ask I can't be hypnotized either meaning... " his voice trails off as he starts to sob. I move closer to him and reach out to touch him. He jerks away, still sobbing.
