Chapter 14

Avery's Point Of View

I step into Eugene's room, and he's awake. 

Oh steaks.

And he's shirtless. 

"Hey." He muttered, "got you asprin." I say awkwardly. "Thanks." He took the glass of water in his hand. 

"What happened last night?" He ask after swallowing the pill. "The bartender called someone random." I lied, "and then you made me sing twinkle twinkle little star to you." 

That is actually the truth, we were actually talking about our moments in high school and out of the sudden, he just asked me to sing. 

And after that, he has his eyes shut. I carressed his cheek softly, and he grab my hand and kiss the top. 

But he was drunk, he doesn't know what he was doing. 

But it seems so like him. 

"That's it?" Eugene laughs, I nodded in response. 

He held me tightly through the night. 

Then it hit me. 

"Oh steaks." My eyes widen, "what?" 

"I need to return my brother's car!"

I run into my house, throwing the keys onto a couch and quickly run to my room. 

I sit on the bed and catch my breath, "oh morning sis. You saw my car keys? It isn't in the kitchen." Aaron says. 

"Erh.. Did you check the living room?" I ask, "why are you breathless?" He furrow his eyebrows at me. 

"Erh.. I did pushups." I lied once again. 

"Whatever, weirdo. I am going to check the living room." Aaron left me alone and close the door behind him. 

I let out a sigh of relief and took out my clothes to take a shower.

"Andre!" I walk into the kitchen, surprised to see him here. "Oh hey." He smiles. 

"So, what's the relationship between you and Mia Brown's sister?" I ask him with my eyes wide open innocently. 

"Her name is Tes, she's a swimsuit model." 

"Their family is coming over tonight so Tes can meet Mum and I can meet her parents." Andre added and pass me a plate of pancakes. I took it in my hands and look down at it, "why?" 

"We're deciding to get married." 

My eyes widen at what he said, "I was asking why you put smiley face on my pancake..." I mumbled. 

"Oh... I am just feeling good today." He smiles. I let out a soft groan, "how is she like?" 

"Uh.." Andre took like five minutes but there's no answer. I open my mouth to say something but someone knocked on our front door. 

"Gonna be in my room." Andre says, walking away with my plate of pancakes. 

"Hey, you gave that to me!" I shouted, opening the door. I turn to face a familiar face, "Casey Daniels?" 

"Oh my, she recognizes!" She hugs me tightly. "Wow, you changed!" I grin, inviting all of them in. 

"Drew." Aaron walks in, "Aaron? I thought you went out." I say. 

"Yeah, this is not my keys." Aaron says, holding it up in his hands. "Where are you hiding it?" Aaron ask. 

"That's my keys." Eugene says. 

Oh steaks. 

They both exhange keys and look at me, "hi." I smile awkwardly.

"WE'RE GOING TO THAILAND!" Chloe and Casey says, throwing the plane tickets on the coffee table. 

"What?!" The boys stood up, and it is chaos. "Hey, hey! Simmer down." Chloe ordered them, "we're flying off tonight!" 

"WHAT?!" 

"Wha-Wh- You- Oh- ugh." Travis says. "Come on, we need to pack!" Erwin says. 

"Woah, this is all so rushed.." I say after the boys left. 

"You're coming with us, Avery. This trip will not consist misery, I promise." Casey says with a sweet smile. 

This is the weirdest summer ever.

We got on the plane at 7pm. We're all excited, making more memories in a new place we're going to. 

Casey made Eugene and I sit together, throughout the WHOLE entire plane ride. 

I guess it won't be bad. 

Just awkward. 

"Avery, I have a question to ask you." Eugene says, my heart begins to pound against my chest. 

"You told the story of You and I?" He ask, his eyebrows raised. 

He is so cute, I just want to... Kiss him. 

"I never did."

"Why?" 

Because I wanted us to continue, the story must not end

I still have faith in us. 

"Because nobody wants to listen...?" I replied, he laughs at my response. "You're such a cutie." 

"You're a cutie." Eugene leans on me and kiss me on the cheek. 

I took a deep breath in, trying not to blush or smile. 

This is going to be such a long ride.
