Here's another one of THOSE chapters of mine- I'm gonna call them 'Special Chapters' from now on- that have little to no effect on the plot.

You can tell on any fanfic of mine that they're Special Chapters when the chapter title is spaced out like that^^

Anyway, this chapter will be hella short, as its main purpose is to introduce and explain what are 'alter egos', why and how they exist, what their connections are to our main characters and how they communicate.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but a little *WARNING: THERE WILL BE MENTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Martial Law (Philippines)
- P.K.I (Indonesia)
- Mpaja (Malaysia)
Together, these three are known as 'The Reverse MaPhilIndo'

Some other HONORABLE MENTIONS include:
- Khmer Rouge (Cambodia)
- Confederate States of America (United States of America)
- South Vietnam (Vietnam)

* MORE MAY BE ADDED SOON, SO STAY TUNED!
- If you have any more suggestions for alters, feel free to share them via comments!

//Philippines' POV

Cambodia just finished quickly introducing herself, when I heard someone bring up Khmer Rouge, and her aura went dark.

"We don't talk about her."

Ah, does she happen to have an alter ego, too? I paled slightly, remembering him...

Alter egos live in an alternate dimension. In this world, there are just as many alter egos as there are countries in our world. But there are few notable, powerful ones.

These few embodied nations are a special case, as they have the coveted ability to connect with their-most of the time- peaceful counterparts through their minds. They visit each other in their dreams, and may even appear in their counterparts' dimension, seen and heard by no one but their counterpart alone.

But they also have played a major role at one point in their counterparts' history. Yes, at one point in their lives, they took the reigns of their counterparts' world and ruled there for a time.

Unfortunately for them, they were ultimately defeated and forgotten by their people. But instead of death, they were spared and banished into an alternate dimension of their own, free to reign as they please. Until, of course...

They're called upon by their counterparts once again.

Khmer Rouge, a Communist girl born in the 1940s against French colonization. Influenced by Vietnam, and fueled by the first Indochina War during the 1950s, she only grew more powerful for the next twenty years. During that time, she killed over two million people in an attempt to create a 'master Cambodian race' via social engineering. But by the mid-1990s, she was largely dissolved and completely surrendered in 1999. Thus leading to her banishment to this dimension.

Confederate States of America, or CSA for short. His patriotism and pride is often taken as egotism. And combined with a big superiority complex, he often runs into little skirmishes with those he views as 'inferior'.

South Vietnam. His situation, status, and reputation is a special case in this dimension, as he's one of the few democratic capitalist nations in this world. Something frowned upon by other nations in this world, yet his nation continues to defy all odds and raise a prosperous and powerful nation.

Mpaja, also known as the Malayan Peoples' Anti-Japanese Army, was born in 1942 with a deep hatred of the Japanese and helped Malaysia fend off the invading Japanese. And by the end of World War Two, he sought to turn Malaysia into a Communist nation, but failed and was banished to this dimension.

PKI, also known as Partai Komunis Indonesia (Communist Party of Indonesia), was born in the mid-20th century. He was proudly the largest non-ruling Communist party in the world until 1965 with three million members. Unfortunately for him, he was eradicated and banished to this dimension on 12 March 1966.

And last, but certainly not least, Martial Law. He's an excellent Filipino soldier and war strategist; a tyrannical war lord who demands nothing less than discipline and respect from those around him. A strict believer in the rule of law, he doesn't take criminals lightly, and is known to punish those who dare go against him severely.

But in the meantime, they all currently live in a world where nothing but violence, chaos, corruption, and oppression run rampant across the globe. People here know nothing but war and death. The sights and smell of which are ingrained deep within their minds and hearts, sprouting nothing but distrust and hatred for those different from them.

Peace... isn't in their vocabulary. They don't know serenity and harmony, as they were never exposed to such things. Peace... was never an option amongst nations. It was never even considered amongst them and their governments.

And for most of them, they prefer it stays that way.

I... I actually see potential in this as a WHOLE other separate CH fanfic. Idk, what do you guys think? Let me know via comments!
