Today was the day I got to start working in the kitchen. Me and FryPan where making bacon and eggs for the gladers. I really hope this isn't the pig I tried to save. It was pretty silent in the kitchen which was peaceful.
"So y/n is there anyone you have taken an interested in" Frypan asks out of nowhere
"I mean not really" I responded
"Oh come on there has to be someone" he insisted
"Well I thought I could be close with him but they just started acting like a jerk for no reason"
"Hmm well that's strange if I find out who it is I'll give em' less food for a week"
"No Frypan it's really fine they're probably just on their period" I joked and we both laughed
It was time to serve everyone their food in line. Newt gave me a happy hello and Chuck ran around the 'counter' and gave me a big hug. Man he's the sweetest thing.
Then came the piece of klunk. He didn't even notice I was there it seemed like. How could he hate me in less than two days of being friends. Eh he's not worth it.
After handing out food to everyone I went to sit down with Chuck and Newt.
"Hey guys where's Minho" I asked approaching their table
"He's running right now he won't be back till before dinner" Newt states
I didn't know Minho was a runner
There was silence for a few minutes
"So Chuck any new gossip" I asked trying to break it
"No, nothing had happened at all it makes me upset"
Chuck said sadly
I look back at the builders table to see Gally still giving me a "I'm going to kill you" look
"Well there might be some soon" I said angry
"What where what huh why" Chuck said. Dang that took some comprehending
"Oh it's nothing I'm just about to punch someone it's fine"
"Don't let him get to you y/n he's always like this" Newt said
I sighed and decided I wanted to go to the top of the watch tower to look down on the glade
I climbed the ladder and sat down
I looked out onto the beautiful field filled with different types of flowers when I heard footsteps coming up the ladder. It was none other than captain eyebrows.
"What the shuck are you doing here" he asked irritated
"Having a party what does it look like" I said snarky
"I'll just leave then"
"Fine" I said as he left
Why is he being like this?
The rest of the day I helped frypan cook lunch and dinner. It was really fun and I was told tomorrow we would get a new greenie.
