Beyond The Walls (The Maze Runner)

Chapter 7- Fine

Today was the day we would get a new greenie.  Everyone was gathered around the box to see the new arrival. The alarm went off and newt opened the box to see a boy with dark hair laying on the ground.
I was hoping for a girl not gunna lie

"Where the hell am I" the boy asked

He looked around my age

Newt dropped down in the box

"Hey it's ok welcome to the glade" Newt said

The man stood up on his two feet slowly

"Why can't I remember anything"

"It's ok we all cant remember anything except for our names, do you remember yours?" Newt asked

"No" the boy said quickly

"It will come back to you in a few hours,  Gally help the boy out"

Gally put his hand down for the new greenie to grab and pulled him up

He looked around at the gladers and his eyes stopped on me looking very confused

Then he looked around at the glade and the huge walls.  Then out of nowhere he started sprinting for the opening

"Not again bloody hell" newt said as I started to run after him

Damn he's fast

I barely caught up to him and tackled him to the ground.  I stood up as fast as I could knowing it Would be awkward if I just laid there

"No, bad boy, no going in the maze" I said I'm a childish tone

All the boys had found their way over to us by now

Thomas was still on the ground

"Get up you little shank" Gally said as I have him a nasty look

I want to punch him so bad right now, rat

Alby had arrived taking the greenie on a tour

Then I was being lifted up on someone's shoulder

"What the shuck" I screamed trying to get down. All I could see was their back

"Just shut up you shank" I heard Gally say

"Put me down you cow" I kept pounding my fist on his back which did nothing

"No I need to talk to you" he carried me into the deadheads and sat me down

"What the hell was that for" I yelled at him

"Ever since you came here things have been different and it's been messing with my mind" he says instantly

"How" I ask confused

"I've been seeing stuff, like you before the maze, it's making me go insane"

"Is that the reason you've been treating me like like shit" I yelled at him. You could tell I was angry

"I didn't mean to it's just I feel a connection with you like we had something before all this klunk happened" he yelled back

"Well maybe there was but we don't know that for sure"

"All this crap is making me loose my mind you don't know how hard it is to be around you"  he practically screamed at me

"How is it hard, huh, I'm not even that annoying"

"It's not that your shucking annoying it's that whenever I'm around you I want to shucking kiss you" 

"Then do it" I screamed

"Maybe I will"

"Fine"

"Fine"

Before I knew it he pulled me into a kiss.  What the hell is going on.  I'm not going to lie it made me have butterflies in my stomach.  This was not the way I thought this would happen.

Before I knew it our lips separated

"Damn" he said

"Let's keep this a secret for now I don't want the glade freaking out" I insisted

"Good idea" he agreed

"I've got to get back and help frypan prepare food for the bonfire tonight"  I said turning away

"Wait" he said and pulled me into one last kiss

"Now you can go" he said and smiled

I think that's one of the first times I've ever seen his genuinely smile, wow didn't think he was able to do that

I got back to the kitchen where Frypan was waiting

"Hey y/n where have you been" Frypan asked

"I had to talk to someone"

"Ohh some new tea you can spill it tomorrow" he said

"Ok" I said as I laughed

I knew I could tell Frypan about the kiss because I trusted him.  Not that I didn't trust Chuck it's just he can't keep a secret to save his life.  I helped Frypan finish some food for the bonfire tonight and we went to help set everything up.
