Blank awoke to the smell of food. Apparently Gon had caught a bird and decided to roast it for the three of them to share.
Blank's head was still resting on Killua's shoulder, apparently from last night. It seemed Killua managed to fall asleep in that position to, as a small smile graced his features.
Blank quickly sat up, and wiped some drool off of her face. 'Weird.. I haven't slept that well in a long time..' she thought.
Though she was just waking up, Blank was already deep in thought about her 'mission'. She still needed to take his badge, since he obviously wasn't going to just quit the hunter exam because she shed a few tears.
As if noticing the missing head on his shoulder, Killua opened his eyes, stretching. He spared a quick glance over at Blank, and blushed. Though he didn't really like to admit it, he had grown really fond of Blank. Whenever she was around, he could feel his heart beat.
Gon walked over to the two happily, noticing them awake. Rubbing the back of his head, he said "I was kinda bored, so I made us some bird! I hope you don't mind! I didn't want to wake you guys up, since you looked so.. peaceful!"
Blank nodded, cast a glance towards Killua, and started eating a small portion of the bird. Killua and Gon followed after, doing the same. They sat like that for a while, completely silent. Though it was peaceful, Killua was getting bored. He decided to strike up a conversation.
"So, Gon.. How exactly did you get this bird? Haha.." Hearing this, Gon looked at Killua with his innocent little eyes, and said "Oh.. hehe.. I caught it with my fishing pole, see?" Gon exclaimed, holding up his fishing rod.
Blank nodded, not thinking much of it. On the other hand, Killua started to burst out laughing. "REALLY? Haha, geez you're so.. weird! Normally, people catch FISH with a fishing rod, but you caught a whole BIRD!"
"Yeah, I guess.." Gon said laughing. "But I trained hard to hide my presence! I caught sooo many birds!" Gon added, holding his arms out really wide.
"That's actually kind of cool, Gon! I bet not many people could do that!" Blank shouted, putting on her 'happy' persona.
After a while, Gon excused himself, saying he was going to find the others, leaving Blank and Killua alone together. While Blank was deep in thought, Killua was intently looking at Blank. 'That white hair, those blue eyes, her attitude... It's almost as if she was raised exactly like me! But that's impossible..'
Wanting to get to the bottom of this mystery, Killua decided to question her. "So, where did you grow up, Blank?" With this sudden question, Blank immediately snapped her head up and looked at Killua, no longer lost in thought. "Um.. I grew up in.. Yorknew city! Haha.." Blank replied, saying a random place off the top of her head.
