Captain Connolly stepped off the Glory and took his next step onto the first fishing boat of Dinesh. This was the last known location of his recon boat and decided to steer the Glory all this way after asking for a vote from the population. With three of the potential future captains of the Glory all the way out here, there was almost a unanimous vote to bring the Glory further east than it had ever gone.
Connolly met with the population and brought the civilians of the Glory out to trade and provide help to the Dineshie, as it looked like they had recently come under attack. Connolly met with some of the people, who swore that they were visited by ship dwellers recently. One of the ship dwellers was one, Paul Wake.
Jasmyne walked out towards the large ship. She had never seen it before, but she easily recognized the name. This was the ship that he grew up on. She quickly made her way over to the captain.
"Captain Conolly?", Jasmyne asked.
Connolly smiled and removed his hat. "Why yes, that's me. And you are, miss?"
"Jasmyne Costa, of the Elation.", she said
"Of the Elation?", Connolly asked. "You're a long way from home."
"I certainly am", Jasmyne said, trying to hold a smile. "Is Paul aboard? Paul Wake?"
"No", Connolly said with remorse. "I sent out a team to find him, and this was their last known location. I take it he's not here?"
Jasmyne told Connolly about the mission that the men of the Glory went on, and of the Black Death and the Banshee.
"So they're dead?", Connolly said with remorse. "They were like sons to me, Bruce, Crue, and of course... Paul."
"I hope not.", Jasmyne said, before walking away from the captain. Cora ran by Jasmyne and began to tug at Connolly's dressed blues. She began to babble questions his way and he did his best to answer them. She asked about his ship, what it was called, and where he came from. Connolly seemed overjoyed to speak with the young girl about the Glory.
As Jasmyne walked back to the fishing boat she was staying on, she saw a familiar face.
"Lisa?", Jasmyne asked.
Lisa, who was looking at some of the Dineshie wares for sale, turned to look at her. "Jasmyne?", she asked. "The ship borne girl?"
"Yes!", Jasmyne smiled as she gave Lisa a hug. The last time the two women saw each other they were both dirth and confined to a small cell from the pirates. "I've got something for you", Jasmyne said.
"And what's that?", Lisa asked.
"From Crue Sampson, one of the men that saved us from those pirates." Jasmyne handed Lisa the carving that Crue picked out for her.
"What is it?", Lisa asked. "And where is Crue? Is he here?"
"No, they aren't back yet", Jasmyne said with a frown. "And it's a rabbit, like one of those", Jasmyne said, pointing at one of the floating carrot gardens with had both a brown and white rabbit roaming around.
"They're beautiful", Lisa said, as she looked down at her new carving. "And you said Crue picked it out for me?"
"He did", Jasmyne said. "I'm sure he'll tell you all about it when he gets back. He just gave it to me to give it to you for safekeeping."
Lisa looked at the carving and a tear came down her cheek. "He won't be coming back", she said with a frown. "I can feel it."
"Don't say that", Jasmyne said.
