Leenah's POV

The alarm blared, pulling me out of a deep sleep. I groggily opened my eyes, feeling like I had weights on them. My body ached from the previous day's activities, and the cramps I was experiencing only made things worse.

Monday. The worst day of the week, especially when all I want to do is stay in bed. But I had to work, so I dragged myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a long, hot shower, trying to shake off the fatigue.

After getting dressed in an abaya with lace decorations, I went downstairs for breakfast. I saw Binta and Khaleel chatting and eating at the kitchen table.

"Good morning, everyone," I greeted them, trying to put on a cheerful facade.

"Good morning, dear," Binta replied.

"What's up, girl?" Khaleel added.

"I'm just tired and sore," I replied, grabbing some buns and honey for my plate.

"Well, at least you slept well," Khaleel said with a grin.

I rolled my eyes at his comment and quickly finished my breakfast. As I was leaving, Khaleel mentioned that he was starting work today as well.

"Good luck with that!" I called out, blowing him a kiss as I headed out the door.

"Thank you, Jasmine," I said with a sweet smile as she handed me some files. "By the way, don't forget that the financial records file needs to be submitted today."

"Oh, right. Thanks for reminding me," I replied, trying to brush off the pain from the cramps that had been plaguing me since I ate that honey earlier.

As the pain worsened, I rested my head on the desk and closed my eyes, trying to ride out the cramps. Jasmine quickly noticed and came to check on me.

"Are you okay, Leenah?" she asked, rubbing my back worriedly.

"Yes, just cramps. Could you make me some hot green tea with lemon and no sugar, please?" I groaned, clutching my stomach.

She returned a few minutes later with the tea, and I gratefully drank it all. Thankfully, the pain began to subside.

As I worked on some files, I suddenly remembered that I needed to submit the financial records file. I looked everywhere for it, but it was nowhere to be found. I even enlisted Jasmine's help, but we still couldn't find it. My heart raced as I realized how important that file was, and I couldn't help but worry that my boss would fire me for losing it.

"What am I going to do, Jasmine? I'm sure he's going to fire me," I said, my eyes filling with tears.

"Don't worry. We'll find it. I'm sure I locked the section before leaving on Friday, so it has to be somewhere here," Jasmine reassured me.

Just as I was about to give up hope, there was a knock at the door. Adil walked in, looking for the financial records file.

"Miss Saheeb, I'm here to collect the file with the records," he said, and my heart skipped a beat.

"What... the file?" I stuttered, relieved that we had finally found it.

I quickly checked the file to make sure everything was in order before handing it to Adil. As he was about to leave, I stopped him.

"Wait," I said, and Jasmine excused us. "What happened to you, Adil? Why haven't you been responding to my calls and texts?" I asked, even though I wasn't sure I wanted to know the answer.

"I was suspended because of you," he said coldly, not even bothering to look at me.

"I'm sorry, Adil. I didn't mean for any of that to happen. Noor was just..." I tried to explain, but he cut me off.
