Noor's POV

"Didn't she reject you?" Imran asked after a few minutes of silence once I finished telling him the whole story.

"No, she just said it wasn't right because she's engaged," I replied, sighing.
"Are you sure she's engaged?" he asked.
"Stop asking me meaningless questions and come up with something useful," I said.

"Why don't you go talk to her dad?" he suggested.
"Are you crazy? She didn't even say she loves me," I said.

"Come on, man. It's obvious she loves you. If she didn't, she would have said it right then and there. I also know that girl well through Najma... she never stops talking about her best friend. So, good job, man," he said, patting my back.

"Okay... I'll see... what about Najma? Have you confessed?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"No, I'm planning on going to her place tonight and confessing," he said, smiling.

"Good luck," I said.
We chatted for a little while before he stood up to leave.
As we were on our way out, Azra jumped in front of us.
"So, are you just going to leave like that after calling me a young child or whatever?" she asked, with her hands on her hips.

"Oh, little one, not now please. I have to go," he said, trying to walk past her, but she quickly stepped in his way again.

"See why I call you young?" he said, shaking his head.
"You're not going anywhere," she said stubbornly.

"Leenah's like that too," I thought.
"What do you want, apart from chicken please?" he asked, with a lot of patience in his voice.

I just stood there and watched them in amusement.
"Give me a treat!" she said, grinning.
"Not today," he rejected.

"Whatever. Leave, and you owe me. You know how stubborn I can be," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Love you," he said, and I walked him out.

Leenah's POV
"I Love you Lee" his words kept ringing in my head.

I went to Najma's place immediately after leaving the office by taking a cab, since my car was at home.

I told her everything that had happened.
"Do you love him?" she asked, sniffing.

"What do you mean?" I asked, glaring at her.
"I can smell that your answer is yes, because I know that if you didn't love him, you would have told him without hesitation," she said, and I was speechless.

I didn't know what to say. I didn't know because when he confessed, I couldn't understand what was going on with me.
"I guess I'm right," she whispered.

"Whatever, but I am engaged, you know... huh! I'm even confused," I said, rubbing my head.
"Don't worry, everything will fall into place. Just keep praying for the best," she advised.
"I'm going to the kitchen," I said, leaving the room.

I went to their kitchen, searching for something to eat. I opened the fridge and saw chocolate cake slices. I served two slices on a plate and went back to the room.
I handed her a fork and we started eating and talking about random things.
"How is it going with you and Imran?" I asked.

"You know what? I can't lie and say that I don't love him," she said, blushing.

"Aww, that's cute! Are you going to confess?" I asked, chuckling.
"Are you okay? Me confess? That's not happening, okay?" she asked, with widened eyes.

"What's wrong with that?" I asked.
"It's just not happening, okay?" she said, stuffing more cake into her mouth.
"Then I pray he does," I replied.
