My story began like any other day. I patrol the town visiting bars, and checking the back ally ensuring the publics safety from criminals. I return to from from my patrol to the barracks to be told by my captain and closes friend Richard that I got night duty. I accepted it with no argument since no one like night duty. I was doing the others a favor which they repay me by buying drinks at our favorite bar. "Hey Alex. You off on night duty?" Fellow knight said seeing me off before going to bed. "Yeah. Maybe something interesting will happen tonight. Haha" I said as I laugh. For I knew nothing interesting happens here in this boring town. I just didn't know how wrong I was. I was patrolling the dark street heading toward the town's wall to check for monsters that may be testing the wall when heard a scream in the woods I immediately headed towards it. After rushing through the woods I come to find a band of bandits surrounding a poor girl in rags hiding behind a tree. I walked toward them. "Excuse me you low life scum! I recommend you step away from the girl and surrender or face me and taste my steel. I personally hope you pick the second option. After all night duty so boring and you lot may be able to liven it up for me." I said smiling as he shot a man at the group. They took the bait and turn their attention to me and forgetting the girl. They ready their weapons. "You think a single knight can handle this many men? Your just asking to die! Hahaha" the thug said with confidence in his strength and the strength of his comrades. Pfft. Foolish brutes. In battle it take more than just strength alone to win. It takes brains and I not only hone my strength but also hone my wits. Which i show them as we we cross blades and banter. Sadly it didn't last long for the likes of these cowardly bandits they soon realized they were out match and run away. Leaving me alone and disappointed. " That battle could barely be called a warm up. Sigh. Well I best check on the girl and see if she hurt or not." I said as I quickly forget about the disappointing battle. "Are you okay young lady? Are you hurt any where?" I asked as I keeled down slowly toward the scared girl. Still hidden in for ragged cloak. "I-I okay. . . t-thank y-you for saving me. I-I thought they catch m-me and s-sell me for sure. H-how can I ever repay y-you?" The cloaked girl said with a shaky voice as she try to thank me. Think nothing of it my dear. It's my sworn duty to aid anyone in need. Or else I can call myself a knight." I said smiling and comforting the poor girl while incuraging her. She took off her hood and revealed her identity of that of a lizard girl which she looks to be 18 years of age.

She have pink scales, dainty claw like hands, pretty amber eyes, pink hair like her scales, her feet were a bit big tho, and her belly to her chest was that of human skin. She must be half human.
Other than that she was quit the looker. She was down right lovely. "Cough cough. Uh would you like me to escort you to town my lady?" I said politely as I wanted to give a good impression of myself. By which I offered my hand to help her to her feet which she take. Her may be small but I noticed she got a strong grip. "T-thank you. Your v-very kind sir knight. But may I have your n-name?" Lizard girl said nervously which was cute as she try but fail to avoid looking my way as she can stop looking me while still holding my hand. "I am sir Alexander but you may call me Alex and there is need to thank me. After all it's my duty to aid those in need. So shall we be off. I can treat you to food and drink. But I must know the name of the maiden I rescued." I said smiling and confidently. "My name is Rose. Like the red flower and as you can see I'm a lizard girl. But only part lizardmen on my father side. My mother was human." Rose said smiling shyly. But I could tell by her face that there's a sad story concerning her mother. But I left that alone for it wasn't right to pry into her painful past. "Rose is a lovely name best suited for a beautiful girl like you" I said smoothly which seems to work as she blushing quite cutely.

"T-thank you for saying that and I like to come have a meal with you. If your okay with having me join you" Rose said smiling.
