I couldn't believe what I heard. I just stared at her in shock, feeling tears on my cheeks. She was crying and I saw her digging her nails in her palms. 'Betty'; I sighed, grabbing her hands unfolding them. 'Tell me about Juliet, full name, personality, everything I missed'; I said hoping it would cheer her up. Betty smiled and looked at me. 'God, she is a rain of sunshine, she is a copy of you on the outside, with her bright blue eyes and her black hair'; she said smiling. 'She has my obsession with Nancy drew, unfortunately my anxiety and god she can eat but not gain weight like you'; she said giggling. 'She is always curious about everything and she helped me trough my depression I had during the time, she is like a little counselor'; she said. 'Her first word was daddy, I don't know how she knew what that was, but that was her first word'; she said. I was in shock. 'What's her full name'; I asked knowing she avoided that. 'Juliet Veronica J-Jones'; she said looking at me. 'Why my last name and Veronica as middle'. 'Juliet, was for what you called me before I apparently had a lobotomy and kissed Archie for no reason. Veronica for my best friend whom I will always love, and Jones for the man who gave me Juliet and whom I never stopped loving but my dumbass brain ruined everything'; she said looking down.

'Betty'; I said. She didn't look up. I putted my fingers under her chin and forced her to look at me. Her beautiful green eyes bloodshot looking at me. 'It's okay, yes you hurt me a lot for doing what you did, but you were also a teenager who thought she understood her feelings. I know what Cheryl had told you and she was right, you were in love with the idea of the perfect romance, you guys grew up together, and I'm not saying it didn't hurt me, because it did. When you left it hurt me, not wanting to admit, but it really did. And Betts I never stopped loving you'; I said. She looked into my eyes a tear slipping out of her eye. I cupped her face and wiped her tear away. She leaned against my hand and we just looked at each other. I looked at her lips and back at her eyes, I saw her eyes do the same. I slowly leaned in, she did the same. Our noses were touching and I could feel her breath on my lips. We were so close, but then her phone went off. 'I'm sorry, it's Veronica'; she said looking concerned. 'It's okay'; I said. 'Hey V what's up'; she asked. 'What, oh no not again, I will come right now, try to calm her down'; she said and hang up. 'What's wrong'; I asked. 'Jules has an anxiety attack I need to go before she starts hyperventilating'; she said grabbing a blanket and running. 'Betts let me drive you'; I asked. 'No I don't want to burden you'; she said. 'You won't and besides, she is my daughter too'; I said. 'Fine let's go'; she said and we left.

Betty ran trough the door and I ran after her. When we were inside I saw Reggie and Veronica trying to calm Juliet down. 'Jules honey what's wrong'; Betty asked as soon as she was next to her. 'Shhhh, calm down baby look I got your blanket'; she said giving it to her. 'Mommy he hurt you again'; Juliet said causing Betty's eyes to widen. 'Honey no one has hurt me'; Betty said. 'The bad man hurt you, I heard you scream in pain that night and the mean blond woman laughed'; she said. I looked at Betty and she had tears in her eyes. 'Baby I promise you they won't hurt me or you okay'; Betty said. 'Come let's put you to sleep, V can I use your room'; she said. Veronica just nodded.

After a while Betty came back. 'I didn't know she heard that'; she said sitting next to me. 'What happened'; I asked. 'Penny Peabody and Malachi paid me a visit ad they didn't like my "big mouth" as they would like to say and'; she said and lifted up her arm. The words "serpent slut" were carved in her arm. 'Oh my god'; Veronica said and Reggie putted an arm around her. 'I am gonna kill them'; I said also putting a arm around Betty. 'I thought she didn't hear anything, god this is all my fault'; she said burying her head in her hands. 'Betty no, this isn't your fault, it's mine, these are all my enemies, I am sorry'; I said looking at her. 'Hey, we both made a lot of enemies during high school'; she said looking at me. 'Yeah'; I said putting my arm around her. 'So, did you talk about everything'; Veronica asked. 'Yeah, how was Juliet, was she good'; Betty asked. 'God Betty, she is an angel and she is literally a copy of you, talking about her ND books, asking or interrogating is'; Veronica said laughing. 'Oh my god I am so sorry, she has those habits, with my mom was it terrible, she thought I learned her to do that'; Betty said. 'Hey Betty it's okay, it was pretty funny actually and she a smart kid'; Reggie said. 'Too smart sometimes, she wants to know everything, she said her first word when she was 11 months and could already walk when she was one, because of that time goes by too fast'; she said. 'I also noticed that she has a big appetite, for a slank girl'; Veronica said looking directly at me. 'Hey, that's not my fault'; Betty said looking at me. 'I guess the Jones genes took over'; I said smiling. 'Definitely, she can be stubborn and that's a pain in the ass sometimes'; Betty said looking at me. 'Hey I'm not that stubborn'; I said pretending to be offended. 'Yes you are'; they all said. 'Damn, I didn't say anything'; I said. Everyone laughed. Betty's phone rang. 'Hey Kevin what's up'. 'Oh my god, are you positive'. Everyone looked at her. 'O-okay thank you kev'; she said and ended the call. 'Veronica can I have a piece of paper'; she asked. 'Yeah ofc'; she said and gave her a piece of paper.
