The Fangs

Chapter 3

Lucas Pov:

I arrived to the school half an hour early and watched a small amount of students waiting for the bell.

If my father was here, he would have picked them off one by one, by using his so call 'charms' to allure them in.

A young woman called Miss Sophie was showing us around the 'Science labs', 'English' classrooms and outside the sports courts where they do 'P.E.' and it was easy enough to control my cravings.

We were going to the 'Maths' classes, when the bell rang. The hallways was crowded. There was just too much blood in the air.

I quickly rushed inside the nearest classroom. I was glad the window shutters were nearly closed because the sun would make me feel even weaker.

I was breathing through my mouth, because the smell was just too much....I couldn't take it!

I was trying to control myself. When the door creaking open and someone rushed inside. I didn't want to face another human, knowing that I can't  control myself!

But the smell was just too addicting! I wanted to bite, whoever entered the room and suck all the blood out of them!

My hands touched the table that I was closest to and used all my strength squeezing it, so I wouldn't go charging the human.

I'm here, so I can prove the vampire council and my father that I can lead a normal human life and feed on animal blood!

My thoughts disapeared, when the human started speaking.

"Hello?" It sounded like a voice of a female!

I couldn't take it!

I pinned her to the wall.

'Control......Lucas......Control....breath through your mouth.' The voice in my head was saying.

"Who are you?" I questioned trying to create conversation to stop the craving from getting worse.

"I'm Hazel" the female said.

"I'm Lucas" I blurted out.

"Wait aren't you new?" She questioned.

"Yes."

"Same here." She responded softly.

She's so innocent! I can't take it.

"Oh so you can show me around then?" I joked.

"Nope no can do, I even forgot where the entrance is" she replied.

I couldn't help but laugh.

I felt a bit better and stood back a bit.

"Come on we need to go now. Miss Sophia might be wondering where qe are." I let go of the wall and walked outside the classroom breathing the air around me.

There was somthing different about this girl, her blood smelt extremely addicting, but I can control the thirst a lot more, knowing that there's less humans in one place.

I realised that she's still lingering inside the classroom.

" You coming?" I questioned looking behind.

Wow!

She's absolutely breath taking with the hazel hair and eyes. Now I understand why she's called 'Hazel'.

I realised that she's looking at me in the same way.

"There you guys are! Come on I need to show you the maths classes now." Miss Sophie said while looking at us both.
