Chapter 14

Lucas dropped me off home and we said our farewell.

"What if Damon comes back and tracks me down?" I questioned feeling panicked about Lucas leaving me.

"Love, you've got your parents, the Alpha and Luna of the pack, they will protect you." Lucas said putting his face two inches from mine.

"Please don't leave me. Take me with you" I said remembering the nightmare all over again.

I would rather die with him, than being in a world without him.

"No love, it's too dangerous out there." He said simply.

I can feel the tears rolling down my cheek.

"Do you promise me you'll call everyday?" I questioned, feeling defeated.

"Yes."

I can see a car coming up and saw a girl getting out and smiling at me.

"So this is Hazel?" She said While leaning on her car.

"Liz?" I questioned.

She came walking towards me "Yup nice meeting sis. I will look after Lucas for you." she said as she began hugging and whispering something in my ears.

"Open this when we're gone. I hope I get to see you again little sis and nice mark by the way." She said giving me a letter and admiring the mark.

"WHAT MARK?" We all heard my father shout.

"And that's our cue to leave." Liz said, while getting in the car and starting it.

Lucas gave me one last kiss and went towards the car, as my father came out of the house.

And they drove off, Leaving me alone on the pavement, I stood there watching them driving off. Then I wasted no time in opening up the letter, Liz gave me.

Hey Hazel,

This is extremely important, in a month time if me and Lucas don't come home then my father probably most likely kept us in the 'vampire world'.

My family are hosting an event (they do it every year) and they will invite your family to come, as a little peace offering just for a day. You father has always declined it, but now that your Lucas's 'zing' I need you to come for his sake.

My zing Sam is allowed to come too for a day, so your not the only one, my mothers inviting him for my sake.

I know we haven't met for that long, but I already see you as a sister to me and I hope to see you again soon.

P.S: Lucas loves you so much, I can tell because he wouldn't shut up about you! Don't lose hope on him Hazel. He will always think of you.... your his mate after all ;)

I quickly wiped away my tears, put the letter in my pocket and went inside, to face my parents.

"I can't believe he bit her!" My father shouted.

I can't help but to smile every time I think of the mark on my neck.

Even though I already miss Lucas deeply. I've still got a mark showing people that I'm taken and that no one can come near me.

'Yep we are taken, take it or lose it.' Hope said with satisfactory.

"What's the pack going to say? How am I going to explain that their 'future Luna' is mated with the mortal enemy." My father thought to himself.
