Eureka's POV

Another withered petal fell from the roses that used to be a vibrant color of indigo.

I had a tiny urge to keep at least one petal, but I thought there is no use getting sentimental over it.

Walang tawag o texts... Oh for Pete's sake! Shut it, Eureka!

Why are you acting like a girl with a silly crush? You need to stop looking at your phone three times an hour just to see kung may kung anong galing sa lalakeng iyon! He's not gonna text you anymore. As he should!

I need to get these thoughts off my head already! Kinuha ko ang aking wallet and made my way to the elevator. I need some coffee to de-stress.

Nung tinawag na ang name ko, I smiled to the bartender and said thanks.

When I was about to leave, may biglang bumangga sa akin, spilling her drink all over my shirt.

"Oh my God!!!" I shrieked.

"Naku, sorry! Sorry sorry sorry! Miss—"

I looked up and realized who it was.

Rox.

I recognize those same brown hazel eyes staring back at me with worry.

"E-eureka?"

Suddenly, all the blood rushed out of my face. I blinked frantically and forced myself to function. All I think about was leave leave leave!

Nabitawan ko ang aking kape sa gulat. Patakbo kong tinungo ang pinto and willed myself not to look back.

"Eureka, sandali!"

It felt exactly like my nightmare or imagining myself facing one of my ghosts.

My heart was racing, feeling like all the blood came rushing back to my ears, almost as if they are about to pop. I could hear it pumping like crazy.

Flashbacks of memories and echoes of voices played inside my head.

But one particular chilling voice is louder than the rest.

"Please tulungan mo ako! My baby is coming out! Yung baby ko... Please, maawa ka sa akin."

No!

I jumped in fear, running across the street... and then I heard a loud screech.

Enrico's POV

"No, Alice. I don't think I can go... Geez! Ang kulit niyo namang dalawa ni Sandro. At tsaka hoy, nasa akin na pala ang sapatos na pinapabili mo."

Walking in a familiar street, I can't help but look at the skyscraper building meters from me. I wonder how is Eureka doing, up in that high and mighty hotel of hers.

I tried to brush the thought of her off, bago ko pa maisip na pumasok sa hotel at magbaka-sakaling makita siya muli.

Concentrating on the conversation I am in, I strolled on the safe side of the street to get to my car. Looking ahead, I see an upcoming figure running towards my direction. It looks oddly familiar.
