Eureka's POV
We were still laughing until the elevator's loud ping sound announced that we have already arrived on my floor. Binuksan ko ang pinto ng aking unit at pinilit na tumigil na sa kakatawa. My God, Eureka. You're acting and giggling like a high school girl. Get a grip.
I cleared my throat. "So ummm, thank you nga pala sa dinner. At sa mga bulaklak na rin."
"You're welcome, Eureka." he stared at me with full of intensity, na pakiramdam ko sasabog ako anytime. "I had a great time too." His gaze slowly lowered to my lips. Unconciously, I did the same to him.
Bago pa ako masaniban ng kung anong espirito, I took a step back and looked away. "Uh, s-sige, Enrico Hale. Good night."
"Sige, good night."
"Good night."
"Okay, Eureka... good night."
Natawa ako ng bahagya. "Sabi na ngang good night na diba?"
Isasara ko na sana ang pinto nang bigla niya itong hinarang ng kanyang kamay. "Eureka. May sasabihin pala ako sayo."
"Ano yun?"
"I haven't told anyone about what happened to Nathaniel." he paused. "It's just that, it's been hard for me or for us to talk about him. So..."
"I get it, Enrico. I won't tell anybody. I promise."
He smiled shyly and let out his pinky finger. Just like that morning when I first met him. "I promise."
And just like that, we both took the same step forward and kissed.
Sabay din kaming napa-atras, parehong gulat sa nangyari.
"Good night, Enrico." "Good night, Eureka." sabay naming sambit.
We stared at each other for three agonizing seconds, unsure of what to say or do.
Bigla akong natauhan at sinara ng malakas ang pinto. Tinitigan ko ito ng mabuti habang hawak hawak ang mga labi ko.
Eureka, it's just a kiss. You have kissed thousands of boys. Don't---
"Eureka!" he called from outside.
"A-ano?!"
"Can I have another kiss?"
Napa-iling ako at natawa. "Good night, asshole!"
