Chapter Twenty Seven

Enrico's POV

Nagising ako sa nakakasilaw na sikat ng araw galing sa bintana. For a brief moment I could not believe I was in my old bedroom.

Rubbing my eyes, I yawn, and stretched my limbs. I turned over to my stomach and saw the glaring analog clock on the bedside table. It said 11:45AM.

Damn, I slept in all morning.

Napagdesisyunan kong bumangon sa higaan at dumiretso sa banyo. Muntik na akong mapa-tili sa gulat nung nakita kong may babaeng nakahandusay sa aking jacuzzi tub. I immediately recognized who it was.

"Alice?!" I called out in concern. She was reeking with dried puke on her chin. She was curled in a fetal position, her arms dangling on her face, her mouth wide open while snoring like a bear. Dali-dali kong kinuha ang cellphone ko at kinunan siya ng litrato. HA! Blackmail material.

Automatic na inusig naman ako ng aking konsyensya at umiral ulit ang aking pag-aalala sa kanya. Why did she decide on sleeping here anyway? This tub is rock hard solid and not to mention, cold! Janine was supposed to be her room mate for the night. I tap her cheek five times. "Hoy. Alice."

She let out a groan and swat my hand away. Natawa ako sa pagmumukha niya. "Gising na matutulog na tayo. Huy."

Nagising naman siya. "Huh?" una niyang sambit. I laughed again.

"Gising na, Alice, matutulog na tayo."

"Huh..." she murmured softy, still disoriented from her drunkenness.

"Joke lang. Ba't ka dito natulog sa banyo?" tanong ko. I stood up, opened my vanity cabinet to get some wet tissues to wipe her face on. She looks like a mess. A stinky mess at that. "Woman, you smell like the sewer!"

She moaned, her eyes half-closed. "Kasi Jake sneaked in into our room nung matutulog na sana kami ni Janine. Dyahe naman kung nandun ako while they're doing their thing. And I can't stand Sandro, you know that, so it's a no-go na dun ako sa room nila ni Jake matutulog."

"Okay..." I said, still cleaning her face. "Eh ba't ka nga dito natulog sa bath tub? You know you can always sleep on my bed."

Alice let out a huge huff. "Kasi nasa bed mo si Aika kagabi..."

Napatigil ako sa ginagawa ko. Shit. "What?"

"Were you that drunk to not remember what happened last night, Chico?"

Hinalughog ko ang utak ko. Ang huli kong naa-alala eh nag-decide si Aika na mag-stay nalang dito sa bahay namin for the night, uminom kaming lahat ng sobrang dami at naglaro ng kung anu-ano. "Well, I am aware I got so fucked up."

"Other than that, anong naaalala mo?"

"Umm," I gulped, still trying to rake my brain with any recollection it might pull up from last night. "Apart from the goofy shit we did, I remember Aika putting me to bed... that's all."

Alice rolled her eyes. "Yun lang?"

Tumango ako. "Alice, what happened?"

"Nandito na ako nung hinatid ka niya dito sa room mo."

"Tapos?"

Nag-iwas siya ng tingin at namula ang kanyang mga pisngi. "Right..."

"Wait, Alice, are you insinuating that Aika and I, uh, had s---"

Napahilamos ng kamay si Alice sa kanyang mukha. "Argh! Nakakainis. All of you guys get so horny when you are drunk! Even Sandro made a pass at me!!! Gagong iyon!"
