Sophie knew her friends were most likely furious with her. She wasn't sure why she avoided them, there was something wrong and Sophie was afraid to find out.
She might have lost some friends, but she had gained new friendships in Harry's friends. The boy, Ron, was nice, but he never made even contact with her. Hermione though, she and Sophie had become fast friends. Soon she was eating regularly with that group.
It was a morning like the others, mostly gray and the porridge stunk. Sophie plopped down and said, "How much you want to bet you could build a house with this porridge"
Harry laughed while Hermione thoughtfully weighed the odds.
"Hey, isn't that Goblet competition coming up?"
Hermione nodded, "I can't wait to see who the campion for our school is. I've also heard they will take a student from Foxfire too"
Sophie thought of the thrill of competing, but she stamped it down and turned to Harry. "Are you going to put your name in the Goblet?"
"Nah, only students 17 or older can. Not that I would anyway, I've heard people die in it"
Sophie shivered and Hermione chimed in, "I heard that last year...."
Her voice died out and she looked beyond Sophie. Sophie turned around and saw Dex, Keefe, Biana, and Fitz glaring at her. They walked up closer and the hall turned silent.
Biana was first to talk, "Hi Sophie"
She seemed awkward, like she didn't want to be there but Fitz made her.
Sophie waved her hand at them and turned around to eat but Fitz spoke next. "What is wrong with you? I thought we were going to Hogwarts together. As a team. You ditched us"
Sophie couldn't believe he was embarrassing her. "Just go away Fitz"
Fitz turned red and started yelling, "NO! I DESERVE TO KNOW WHY SOPHIE? WHY WERE WE NOT GOOD ENOUGH? ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR NEW-"
Sophie felt her anger build up and before she could even stop it, she released her anger into the room. Everyone fell down, writhing in pain and screaming. Sophie gasped and immediately stopped. Fitz's face looked betrayed as he scrambled away.
The old headmaster, Dumbledore, burst through the doors and strode up to Sophie. His voice deepened threateningly and said, "My office, now"

Sophie thought about what Fitz had said while she waited for the other teachers to arrive. Maybe it was because she felt the butterflies she used to feel with Fitz, but this time with Harry. She didn't know what she wanted and that scared her. What did she want, exactly?
"Miss Foster? We're ready"
Dumbledore opened the door magically and Sophie walked in nervously. The teachers stood around him, frowning at her with disappointment. She stopped and sat down on the seats in front of his desk.
"You've made quite a name for yourself in all the magic communities, Miss Foster. Now I'm normally a forgiving man, but what those people made you is horrendous. It should be forbidden to do something like that"
Sophie's anger rose again and Dumbledore noticed her trying to keep it down.
"Even now you'd struggle with the power they have given you. I should expell you, but I have an offer"
Snape scoffed and frowned, he obviously thought she should be expelled.
"You will be needing lessons if you are to continue here at Hogwarts. Your old teacher was unable to join us, but I think Snape might be able to help you"
Both Sophie and Snape protested but Dumbledore silenced them. "You will do as I say. Now Miss Foster, what will it be?"
Everyone stared at her, their faces mixed in anger and disbelief.
"I'll do the lessons" Sophie said so quietly it was almost a whisper.
"Well then, everyday in the dungeon starting tomorrow. You may leave now Miss Foster"
Sophie ran out of the office and headlined to the Gryffindor common room. Tears pricked her eyes as she dashed. Students along the way jeered at her, but they still had fear in their eyes. She almost tripped running up the stairs, but soon she reached the painting. Luckily no one was in the common room.
Sophie fell onto her bed and hugged Ella, crying. She was a freak back in the elven and she was a freak here too.
"Sophie?"
Sophie looked up to see Harry standing in the doorway, looking nervous.
