Chapter Seven: The Goblet of Fire

Sophie laughed and wiped her tears, "Harry, hi"
He sat down on her bed and played with his hands.
Sophie noticed how tense he was, "You don't have to be afraid. I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't mean to hurt anyone really"
Harry looked up, "I know"
He gently grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her in for a kiss. If felt like it lasted ages and to be truthful, Sophie didn't want it to end. But Harry pulled away and looked sheepish.
"I totally forgot to tell you. The other schools have arrived. They're putting their names in the cup. Come!"
He took her hand and walked her to the room where a golden cup stood on a pedestal, blue fire sprouting from above it. Sophie could see and spell surrounding it and guessed it was to keep underage champions away. Harry got them seats in the back and Sophie watched the other champions step forward and place their names in the fire. She noticed some students her age writing their names and pointed this out to Harry.
"Oh yeah, they're going to try to get past the spell. But no one can. Dumbledore himself made the spell"
Sophie noticed Fitz scowling in the corner, scrap of a paper in hand. Sophie suddenly got the urge to put her name in the fire. She imagined how good it would be to win it all. The look on Fitz's face.
Sophie was a new person, and she broke her promise. She scribbled her name down and Harry laughed, "Good luck! That spell won't budge"
She turned around and smiled at him, "You forget who I am"
Everyone stood still as Sophie approached the Goblet of Fire. She pulled sources of energy from around the room and prepared to thrust it at the fire. She slowly counted to three and launched the energy at the spell. It broke immediately and Sophie proudly placed her name in the fire.
Turning around she saw wide eyed faces filled with excitement and surprise. Harry smiled and she walked up to him. Making sure all of her friends could see them, Sophie pulled Harry into a passionate kiss. The room ooohed at the romance and Harry and Sophie laughed them off. Sophie walked away, feeling changed. She was going to be a Triwizard champion and she was going to win.
