'You're a bastard!'

'You're a nobody!'

'A lousy pauper!'

'I should have even aborted you!'

'He doesn't deserve anything in life!'

'Nobody!'

'Loser!' The crowd continued to yell as they encircled Gillis. They grabbed him when he was about to run and threw him to the floor and began to beat him while still raining insults on him.
Gillis hugged his knees as they kicked his sides, threw rocks at him, spat on him and hit him with batons.

He was in pain and he cried out, "Please stop!"

His eyes fluttered as they adjusted to the bright light coming from the opened curtains and he sat up, trying to catch his breathe. It may have been just a dream but it felt so real, like he was actually being mobbed in real life. He immediately looked down on his body and his bare chest was soaked in his own perspiration. This was indeed strange, he had never had such a nightmare before. He wiped the sweat off his face and stared at the clock by the side of his bed, it was 6:30 am.

He sighed, he had overslept again.

He turned to his side while trying to get up and saw his wife, she was sprawled on the bed as usual with dried tears on her cheek and she was snoring quietly.

He sighed again as he remembered their argument last night. After they argued, he had gone to the bathroom for a long steamy shower and when he returned he found his wife crying about him not being fair to her. He had ignored her tears and went straight to bed. She stood by the bed talking on and on while he just let the sleep carry him away to dreamland.

He leaned closer to her and kissed her cheek, then he rose up to prepare for work. He took a quick shower, brushed his teeth, changed into his work clothes and grabbed his things to head out. As he was leaving, he noticed his wife was still sleeping so he walked down to her side and kissed her cheek. The kiss was not satisfactory enough so, he dropped his bag and his jacket and he cupped up her face as gently as he could and kissed her lips softly.

He kissed the dried tears and muttered, "I love you."

He smiled as she rolled, then he took a piece of paper and wrote out 'Good morning' and dropped it on the bedside drawer. He grabbed his things and dashed out of the house for work.

The slamming of the front door echoed through the house waking up Jessica.

Yawning, she sat up, "Gillis?" She looked beside her but he was there.

"Babe?" She rose her feet and slipped on her flip flops before she walked downstairs. She searched around for him and couldn't find him and it made her worried.

Was he that angry that he couldn't even say Goodbye? She sighed as she walked into the kitchen.

"I don't even get what he's so mad about," she grumbled as she made herself coffee, "maybe I should call him? Yeah I should call him."

She dropped her coffee and ran up the stairs to her room. She scanned the room for her phone and that was when she saw it. She grabbed the rumpled piece of paper, she read it and she immediately got pissed off.
