Chapter Twenty

☀︎︎ Alessia's Prescriptive...

           "Hi, you're Apple, right?", I asked the tall girl who was passing by.

"Huh? Oh yeah", she replied. I nodded. The floorboards in this house always creaked even under the lightest thing. So, you'd always know when somebody was passing by.

"Are you alright?..", Apple asked, after a moment.

Oh, yeah, I think I zoned out", I replied, a bit shocked. Apple shrugged and kept walking. It was sort of odd but I didn't think much of it and only went back into the room. Jeez, it seemed like it would be day forever. I wish night would fall already...

"Alessia, the others are all in that big room down that hall, so I'm going too, wanna come?", Maya said, after a moment. I turned around and saw her standing just a few feet behind me. How come I didn't hear her then? I thought I'd hear basically everybody who were walking in the halls because of how creaky the floorboards were.

"What?? Oh uh hm okay", I replied, still bewildered. Maya nodded and started walking down the hall. We walked for almost a minute until we swerved around the corner and went into a massive room.

I saw Apple, R.Kade, and Snow talking together like usual. Clover was not in the room, as her whereabouts were always a mystery as she disliked socializing with us, I guess..

"Oh, hey, Maya and Alessia", Snow added, as she saw Maya and I walk in.

"Hi..", I murmured in reply as Maya only waved. I walked over to them and flopped down on the floor. Maya, like usual, followed after me and sat down, too. We have always been that extrovert and introvert duo, where I'd do most of the talking while Maya always just lingered around awkwardly..

"Have you guys seen Clover anywhere at all?", Apple's asked. Maya and I both shook our head.

"Nobody really knows.. I feel like she's the murderer, she's always hiding and quiet", Maya mumbled.

"Really? Me too!", R.Kade blurted out.

"That's strange....", Snow added.

"Has she ever talked to you guys at all?", I asked.

"No...", Maya replied.

"Huh,.. she talked to me this morning", Apple said.

"Wait really?? What'd she say?", R.Kade exclaimed.

"Er... just how the view of this sea form the window in our room was pretty", Apple replied.

"What the heck??? Yeah... she probably will drown you for your death.... we shouldn't trust her..", Snow said, puzzled.

"Yeah.. she has a point..", Maya mumbled.

"Okay, you guys, let's just try and keep our distance from Clover from now on", I added.

"Good idea..", Apple added.

"But wait, what if she's actually trustworthy?", Snow added after a moment.

"Why are you always like this? It's for our safety! Do you want to get murdered?!", R.Kade exclaimed. Maya nodded.

"It's four against one, Snow", Apple shrugged.

"Ugh... whatever.. fine..", Snow mumbled, a bit pissed.

"Gosh.. I wish we were all home and not here..", Maya sighed.

"I know right", I mumbled.

"Well, the least we can do is try and stay alive", R.Kade added.

"And we'll all be just fine..", Apple said, after a moment.
