Chapter Nine; Twice The Setups

"Hey do you mind talking a bit," he asked scratching the back of his head
"I want to apologize for last time, it was wrong of me to try and destroy your hope for true love,"
"It's fine, it doesn't really matter," I tried to compel him to feel better
"No let me make it up to you tomorrow I will take you out but not a romantic date just a play date," he put on a genuine smile that would make a girl meltdown.
"Ya sure, but can I ask what time?" I tried hard to sound very inclined.
"Oh, I had forgotten about that possibly 9:00 pm."

Who sets up a date and forgets the time.

He pushed the transparent golden door, wielding it as I passed through.
The elegant grey elevator shone as sharp as it could to a breadth where you could sight your reflection in a jiffy.
A hand came in from nowhere thumping impatiently the squared buttons that were embedded significantly.
"What's with the rush?" I walked through the elevator that was making way for us.
"I'm not in a rush, I am just an impatient person, " he walked through mashing the buttons.

It didn't take that much of time to approach the entrance and Jade welcoming us with one of the vastest smiles I have ever glimpsed.
Everyone was around and all on the couches looking relaxed, casual, and peaceful.
Jade came my way with the smile still on her face. "Tell me how is you and Jake," I could tell where she was going with this conversation.

"He is ok as you can see, we have no special relationship he is just my friend, " I turned to take a quick glimpse of him but as soon as he noticed I glanced away.
"No, he is not just a friend, you can clearly see he likes you, " I was so confused whether to believe her or not to.

I'm not sure almost every girl can relate to what I'm about to just say.
Usually when my best friend tells me that a boy likes me, I always find out that he doesn't, well if that has never happened to you then you are lucky.

"If he does, he will tell me, " I ran over to the couch to relax my body.
"Since everyone has arrived, let's get this party started as you can see I ordered pizza because I was in no mood of cooking, " she said walking towards me and sitting next to me with a huge smile.
"So first we shall play truth or dare, this is an app I downloaded so that it's fair if you guys don't mind?" I could see her eyes scanning around the room looking for a person who was scared to do this.

"Ok so since no one said a thing let's get down to business, " I stared down in her phone and watched her fingers run across the keyboard typing everyone's name.
The night was fun and daring. The dares we're a bit hard to deal with, I couldn't feel my boobs not after they poured ice down my bra. Time passed by until we all decided to depart from her apartment.

"Em let me drive you home, " his face brushed with red after being told to drink water with chili in it.
"Of course, did you think I was going home alone when I have you as my driver?" I giggled softly and watched him wear his blazer and opening the door for me.

The ride in the car was kind of quiet at first as I tried to scan him and see if he would show any signs of liking me but then everything changed when they played 'Dancing with a Stranger by Sam Smith' which we sang along to loudly with our weird voices.
The drive wasn't that long, with no time we were already in the parking lot.

"Tomorrow would you want to go out and maybe do something fun," he swiftly turned towards me looking deep into my eyes that I constantly kept on moving.
"I would love to but tomorrow I have plans, "
"Come on you can't keep on telling me you are busy so tomorrow I am picking you up and no saying no, " he argued until I had no other option but to nod a yes.
"So what time will you pick me up, " I muttered hoping it wouldn't clash with Mason's plans.
"I guess at 7:00 pm, and don't worry I won't take you to a restaurant, but it is going to be fun trust me, "

Now how am I going to handle two dates, this is going to be frustrating.
And on top of that, I have to find clothes to wear, which is kind of not my expertise. I will worry about all of that tomorrow right now I want to eat then sleep.

I could see the morning rays escaping my curtain and falling on me, I got my phone and checked if I missed out on anything yesterday on my social media platforms because the moment I reached home took some snacks, showered and fell into the bed.

Jade was on her way to my apartment which meant I had to go take a shower early in the morning. Usually, I would shower at noon if I expected no one.

I got out of bed to go choose my relaxing outfits which were a grey tracksuit and black hoodie. Walked towards the washroom placing my phone on the sink and shuffled my song and started singing along to 'I need your love by Ellie Goulding'

The shower was refreshing and not as bad as I expected it. Dressing up didn't take much time like showering. I walked towards the kitchen and got out the cereal box and milk pouring them into a large white bowl.
I enjoyed my jaws meeting and crushing the cereals to small pieces.
I felt bad when my second spoon was interrupted by a knock on the door which I really wanted to ignore. I walked towards the door and opened it welcoming Jade with a sad face.
"What's with the sad face?" I could see her eyebrow rising, I put a nice warm welcoming smile and let her in.
"You interrupted my breakfast, " I shut the door and ran towards my counter and continued savoring my food.

"So what is the emergency you wanted to tell me about?" She curiously asked laying her bag on the couch and walking over to meet me.
"I have two dates today, and I don't know what to put on, " I could see her face filled with surprise.

"Do you know how lucky you are? You should be saying it with excitement, " she came closer looking and sounding more enthusiastic than me.
"So tell me how you got into this situation, " she demanded.
"Yesterday as I was coming with Mason to you apartment he asked me out but it is more of friends going out, " I explained, "Jake asked me out when he was giving me a lift to home,"

I am the worst at narrating but as long as I told her the important details and that is that I have two dates.

"So where are you guys going, "
"I don't know, none of them told me a thing,"
"First of all you are the worst in narrating, and today make sure you note all the details and tell me," she begged me with a huge smile to tribe me.
The rest of the day passed by us as we were lost in Netflix and food.

Is it only me but I noticed I eat a lot especially in my leisure time it's like my teeth ever get a vacation, I think if some told me to fast I wouldn't last two hours.

"Jade could you help me select what to put on, " she gladly stood up and walked towards my bedroom as I stayed and continued watching and stuffing myself with food.
"But promise you will put on anything I select, " she yelled on top of her voice.
"Yeah sure, " I yelled with my eyes stuck on the screen.
It didn't take Jade a long time to find clothes but if it were me I would be there for an hour.
"Thank you I really don't know what I would do without you, " I clasped her tiny body tightly.

"I know I am the best but shouldn't you be going to shower by now, " I ran towards the shower and cleansed my body. I dressed up and looked at the mirror admiring the creativity.
I was dressed in a cute sexy long-sleeved yellow ripped off-shoulder crop top along with ripped light blue denim jeans and a pair of white Adidas shoes.

"I guess I am done, " I saw Jade turn happily and speechless.
"Can you believe I am good at designing monsters, " I rolled my eyes and chuckled, "but you look stunning, " a smile went across my face.
"I guess I should get going and don't forget to tell me the details have fun, " she said grabbing her purse and walking towards me to hug me.
"Bye, " she said exciting and closing the door behind her.
I sat on the couch and continued my movie waiting to be picked up.
