Chapter Ten; Two Nights In The Same Day

I really hope my dressing is perfect for where we are going because I have no second chance of dressing up.
"So where are we going, " I questioned.
"Don't worry, it's a fun place, " he said tightening his grip on the steering wheel.
The rest of the journey was quiet and I kept looking out the window and texting until I felt the car coming to a halt. I could hear the machines and people's outcries with the smell of popcorn and cotton candy.

"Wow, the carnival!! I didn't expect this, " I could see a slight smile being drawn on his face.
"See I can also be surprising and caring, " he grabbed my hand locking it in his and we skipped towards the roller coaster-like young kids which turned out to be fun.
"Do we really have to ride the roller coaster first?" He said nervously, "of all rides why do we start with this one, "
"Are you scared of it?" I tried keeping in my laugh but my teeth were too strong.

I went in sitting and patting on the free seat that was beside me.
"I am not going to enjoy this but I will just sit with you because we both know without me you will cry and most probably shit your pants," he moved his hands across my body and helping me out on my seat belt.
"No, I'm not, trust me it will be you, " I could feel us shifting slowly.

I felt my hand in his, it felt warm and incredibly soft, and here I was with my hard hands and ugly short nails.
The volume of the screams boosted with the velocity of the roller coaster ride, Jake's eyes were trying to open up when we reached the top but shut fast when he saw the altitude he was against.
My eyes squeezed shut with screams flowing from my lips when we started sloping. I felt his grip get tighter each second.

"Finally, we are done, that was so scary, " I said panting like a person who ran so many miles.
"I know, but the way you were clasping my hand was more terrifying, " he chuckled in a teasing manner
"Wait a minute wasn't it you who was squeezing my hand to death, " I stopped walking stared at him.
"Look ice cream, " he cried out pointing in the direction my back was facing. I quickly turned to see if I could spot one but unfortunately, I got swindled by this jerk.

I spotted him running through a crowd of people and I decided to run after him, although I have to admit he was so fast that I just gave up and went for some games and cotton candy so that when he is tired of running he would find me.

I sat and devoured my cotton candy until he showed up panting.
"How can you leave me to run by myself, " he sat down next to me with a bottle of water that was now in half.
"I got tired, " I tried not to laugh but he looked funny and cute at the same time. His cheeks flushed red with sweat droplets trickling from his head to his jaw and drooling on his shirt.
"I guess I should head back home, " I stood up staring at him.

"Come on I just got back from running, " he pouted standing up.
"Ok let's stay for like 15 minutes," I put down my ass.
This date was incredible, especially the cotton candy and Jake.
"Do you want to take some pics with me, " I could already see him taking some before I could even answer.
"I haven't even said yes, " he continued taking.

"And you haven't yet said no, " he said putting his arm around my shoulders and pulling me closer to take a selfie.
"We should really get going, it's 8:15," I stood up walking towards the exit.
"Ok yes but wasn't today fun as hell," he pushed me slightly with his elbow.
"No, it wasn't, " I giggled trying to see his expression.

"Me lady you ride awaits," he opened the door bowing and placing his hands waiting for mine to attach to his.
"Why thank you, " I tried having a British accent but mine couldn't top his magnificent imitation.
I placed my hands in his warm soft ones.
The ride home was just us laughing at each other with whatever happened today.
"Thanks a lot for today, it was amazing," I said removing my seat belt opening the door.

"Before you go..." I felt his lips on me before he pulled back, it felt like it had lasted an hour.
"Good night, " I said rushing out of the car and into my apartment.
I scrambled to the washroom to wash my face where I noticed my cheeks flushing red and a big wide smile on my lips.
The kiss kept on reappearing in my head.

I heard a knock that brought me back from my imaginations.
"So shall we?" He said moving his hand towards the hallway.
"So where are we going?" I tried keeping with his pace.
"I don't know if you will like it, but it's worth a shot," he explained moving out the building.

I got so bored in the car that I almost nodded off but lucky me it took about 20 minutes to reach the anonymous destination.

"Wow the stadium, I didn't expect that at all," I walked through the door, I had never been to a stadium before.
It was too quiet and a bit dark but went through it. The lights went on one by one the minute I stepped onto the grass.
"This is where we are going to be," he said with a smile, "I'm not good with girls especially impressing, "

I wonder what things we can do here.
It looks to be boring.

"So what shall we do here? " I walked towards the center.
"First we are going to get to know each other while eating pizza and the next part is a surprise, " the talk of surprise made me anxious and curious.
"Where is the pizza? " I sat down on the surface and lied down facing up wondering what the surprise was.
"The person bringing it will call me if he arrives, " he said joining me down.
"So what's this surprise,?" I investigated
"What's with all these questions?" He laughed turning his head towards me.
"I'm just curious, " I defended myself.
"What's with you and Jake?" he looked back at the black shimmering wall that glistened with stars.
"Nothing we are just friends, " I insured
"Ok if you say so ask me any question you like?" I searched my brain for a question but failed.
"Why did you choose this place of all places? "
Of all questions that's what my brain gave me, I'm so disappointed in myself.

"It is quiet and I always come here when I need to think, " he tilted his towards me and looking in my eyes which I found disturbing because I can't look in someone's eyes for that long.
I heard a phone ring.
Mason didn't pick up but just declined it and went towards the entrance.

Yaay the pizza, though now I need to have some exercise because the way my lifestyle is, isn't safe.

Mason came back holding two boxes of pizzas and two bottles of water.
I sat up straight ready to engulf it.
"Looks like you are hungry, you can't even take your eyes off the boxes, " I giggled feeling embarrassed.
He set the boxes down and opened the first one.
The scent was driving me insane it was delightful.
After some hours of eating and making jokes, I sat down with a swollen belly that I tried hard to tuck in.

This is so unfair boys don't have to worry about their bellies popping out but a girl has to tuck it or if not eat less.

"When does the surprise start? " I questioned again.
"You really want the surprise, " he laughed out loud.
"Yessss now where is it?" I cried out.
"Ok what's the one thing you enjoy playing in outside? " he inquired.
"Rain," I shouted excitedly
"Let there be rain, " I could feel droplets of water falling on me one by one.
"How did you know I love rain? " I asked anxiously.
"I can read minds, " he laughed.
"You think I can believe that, " I made a half-smile.
"I made some research about you, " I smiled, "stalker, "
"Maybe, " he moved towards me step by step, "let me fulfill a dream of yours, your majesty can I have this dance?" He bowed down and raised a hand.

He is now fulfilling a dream of mine which was dancing in the rain with a cute tall guy, he really made a lot of research.
Maybe he isn't so bad after all.
