Chapter Eight; Night Vibes

I lay on my bed the whole night staring at the white empty ceiling
Knock! Knock!
"Can I come in?" Mason said as his head peeped into my room.
"Ya sure come in as if you need permission for your whole body to enter," I said making sure I sounded sarcastic enough.
"Well I had to make sure that you were awake," He tried defending himself.
"Okay, here I am. What did you need?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Am bored, I needed company," he said. "So you are here to disturb me just so you are not bored," I narrowed my eyes trying to frighten him.
"Actually mainly I'm here to talk to you about the friends with benefits stuff,"

I really did not want to talk about this because I feel like I would be uncomfortable with it, I am one of the girls who believe in romance and take relationships seriously not the type that enjoys smashing.

"Yeah, about that," I started speaking slowly because I knew I was going to let him down, " I have decided to change my mind," I faced down because I really didn't want to meet his disappointed eyes not that it really mattered to me but hate making people sad.

"It's alright, I get it your not the type of girl who is into sex but happy ever afters," he said standing up.

"But good luck finding the prince charming because let me tell you this love never has a happy ending to be honest it either ends up with heartbreak or even death," he walked looking away.

Like was it really necessary to say all of that stuff just because I have rejected you. But at least now I don't have to worry about how I was going to tell, him that I didn't want to do it. But for some reason, I feel bad for giving him hopes and last minute I had to reject his proposal. But he really looked sad when talking about relationships. Ouff, well I'm glad that train wreck's over!

Knock!! Knock!!
"Now who could be at the door," I mumbled heading towards the door to find out who this new enemy of mine was.
"Heyyyy," a smile went up his ears waving like a kid who had just seen his friend and is saying hi.
"Don't you ever get tired of me because I get tired of you," I turned walking away.

"Why would you ever get tired of me, I'm adorable and funny," he defended himself.
"Yes you are adorable and funny but at times you are annoying, you are literally always here in my apartment don't you have anything else to do," I relaxed in the chair texting on my phone trying not to care.
"So you admitted I'm adorable, wow," he came sitting next to me putting his arms around my shoulders.

"Anyway did you hear that these guys are back in town and we are going out to dinner all of us," I turned to face him but looked like he wasn't minding.
"Are you even listening," I slapped the back of his head waiting for his lies.
"Ouch!! Yes," he cried outputting his phone down hiding it.

Time passed by so fast and now it was already time for dinner.
To be honest I am not going to dress up like the fancy girls going to a simple dinner but dress like as if there is a ball to meet prince charming.
"Why are you still here," I walked out of my room shouting at Jake.

"Is it bad to be with the most beautiful girl?" He put a sly smile to cover up his lies as he poured me a glass of juice.
"What do you truly want and how come you aren't ready yet?" He moved forward trying to walk as if on the runway which was kind of hilarious.

"What are you doing?" He stroke a pose before replying, "I am trying to give you a pretty smile as a gift, and I am showing you my outfit of the night that will leave the ladies speechless,"
I analyzed his blue loose damaged jeans that let his body free a bit along with a white round neck half sleeves white plain t-shirt that made him look like he was a very clean gentleman that he wasn't.

"Anyway you don't look bad at all," I tried complimenting him.
"You see I don't have a terrible sense in fashion," he claimed jumping up and down as if it was such a big deal.
"Looks like you are done," he rushed to pick up his long black blazer and phone from the charger.

"Why can't you start buying your own charger and leave mine once and for all," I cried looking at my poor charger.
"That's because we are neighbors and we need to share," he smiled pushing me towards the door.
"Now if you can excuse me I have food that's waiting to be devoured by me,"
Honestly, over the past few days, I have spent with Jake have taught me is that the guy enjoys eating but stays thin as hell unlike me if I start eating like him I will become a bloated balloon.

Well, it didn't take much time for us to arrive at Jade's apartment. The rest of the girls had also come back from their vacations and we're invited.
"Hey I will join you later, I just need to make a quick phone call," I reached out in my cross bag to get it as I saw Jake nodding and heading inside.

'Hey sis, how have you been?"
'I have great, let's keep the introductions and tell me about school and if miraculously we have another guy in your life,'
'Well, school is stressing as usual and annoying with all the assignments but remember I am in my summer holidays so no school just chilling and as for boys I really have no boys to love in my life none of them is worthy yet but I did get a new friend and his name is Jake he is funny and nice,
'Is he the one you have been posting on your Instagram?'
'Yes, so no need of showing him to you'
'Finally, you get a cute friend have you seen your other boyfriends they make me want to run away but it's nice he is funny.'
'Ya sure whatever you say but I'm at Jade's place and we are having dinner so goodnight'
'Goodnight and take care of yourself very well'

As I was putting my phone back in my cross bag I saw a black tinted matte grey Benz car parking to be honest it was eye-catching and breathe taking.
I closed my bag and walked towards the entrance of the building when I heard a familiar voice that caused me to hold my tracks.
"Emmy, can you please wait a bit?" I turned to find Mason running towards me.

Ohh god what does he have to say now?
