the end , part one

That's the end of the book btw.

Cesar and Latrelle team up and kill Jamal because Jamal caught whiff that Cesar was behind Monse's death. My baby didn't go down without a fight though.

Ruby and Isabella mourned and mourned—everyone thought it was just a random senseless killing, but Isabella knew better. She knew there was no way in hell that Monse and Jamal both got killed in such a short timeframe. She knew something more sinister was going on.

She knew someone was trying to take them out one by one.

But who?

So she investigated.

She found a note from Jamal that he left just in case someone tried to silence him for finding out the truth. She gasped as she read the words on the paper.

Cesar Diaz was responsible?! He was working with Latrelle?!

She was infuriated! She had to warn Ruby that he was probably next in line to die!

Jamal died uncovering the truth so she followed his lead and left a note for Ruby to find in case she was also silenced.

She was silenced.

As soon as she walked outside, Latrelle and Cesar were waiting for her with smirks on their faces. It was dark out, so there was no one outside to help her in her time of need. Isabella swallowed hard, her blood running cold.

She knew her time was up.

"Going somewhere?" Cesar Diaz taunted. She wanted to wipe that stupid smirk off his face!

"So you're the reason why my boyfriend can't sleep at night?! You're the reason why I'm HEARTBROKEN?!?!" she yelled.

"Fuck you and your weak ass boyfriend!" Latrelle spat.

Cesar just snickered.

Isabella shook her head angrily. "I can't believe you, Cesar. Monse was your GIRLFRIEND! She trusted you! I trusted you! WE TRUSTED YOU!"

"That was your first mistake," Cesar said grimly. "I'm a Diaz, you can't trust me."

Isabella just stared in disbelief as Cesar did Latrelle's signature whistle, signaling for him to kill her. Latrelle didn't hesitate.

He killed Isabella right there on the spot.

Cesar, pleased, walked up to her limp body and took the two notes from her hand. He read them and snickered. "Oh how cute, they tried to warn each other."

He smirked down at the notes and then turned to face Latrelle. Latrelle spoke. "So, you ready to end this?"

Cesar nodded. "Yup. Three down, one to go. It's time for Ruby to meet his maker."

He began walking off and Latrelle treaded behind him, but Cesar halted abruptly and looked over his shoulder to say one final thing.

"But be cautious because he's the craziest of them all."

And he was dead ass serious.
