Carmen was acting really weird the entire walk back to the dorm. Kendall and Leonora had to go check the water bottle collection because they had lost their water bottles and the truck left tomorrow.

"Get into your little tiny home, and stay there. This universe would be so much better if you weren't in it. I can't believe The Grang hasn't gotten rid of you. I mean, you are just another mouth he has to feed." Abbey Aster had appeared in the doorway of the dorm. Zoe could see Middy and Are outside in the hallway.

"What do you want, Abbey?" Zoe asked annoyed.

"What did you just say? You have to do as I say."

   "What did you say?"

"I know that you know what I said, Chloe Romen."

   "It's Zoe Thomas"

"Do you think I care? Because I don't. I really, really don't care about what you just said."

"Then why did you want to know what I said?"

   "What do you mean"

"I know that you know and that everyone around here knows that you wanted to know what I said, Abbey"

"My name is not Abbey. My name is Abbey Aster, and you need to call me Abbey Aster."

"Why. Your name is also Abbey. I don't want to call you by your first and last names. I want to call you by your first name."

"You are below me, so you have to call e by my full name."

   "Okay."

   "Really?"

   "Sure."

   "Do it"

   "Okay, Abbey Rose Aster"

   "Don't use my middle name!"

"You said your whole name. Ohhhhh. I get it now. You don't go by your father's last name, you go by your step fathers."

"You are impossible, and I don't even know who my father is!"

"Everyone knows that your step father is The Grang. He treats you like royalty and the rest of us like trash. But, you will always be just a step daughter. Second to your step sister, Savannah."

"That is not true!" Abbey flipped her hair and stormed away, Middy and Are following her lead, like always. Zoe wondered if Middy and Are even liked Abbey, or if they hated her like Zoe. Whatever the case, Zoe shouldn't care. They treated her like trash, so why should Zoe think and care about there feelings.

"Good job." Leonora complemented and Zoe wondered why.

"What do you mean?" Zoe asked.

"You stood up to Abbey Aster, and how do you know her middle name?"

"I have my reasons, one day I will tell you." Suddenly, a watch appeared on Zoe's wrist. Leonora didn't notice, instead she acted as if that watch had always been there.

"you need to tell me where you got your watch. I keep asking and you keep saying tomorrow, but when tomorrow comes, you just say tomorrow."

"I guess I will tell you tomorrow then."

"Fine, but you better." Zoe thought that it was very weird how Leonora could be herself when Zoe didn't have the watch on, but when Zoe had the watch on, Leonora had all these fake memories.

"I think I am going to take a walk. I need to collect my thoughts." This is the test, Zoe thought. The real Leonora would insist upon coming with her.

"Okay, I will stay here and wait for Kendall and Carmen. We will be here when you come back, unless it is meal time, in witch case we will be in the dinning hall."

"Okay." Zoe had to admit that she was a little disappointed, but she had to figure out what was happening to Leonora.

Zoe walked out of the dorm and down the hallway, heading towards the front door. Zoe noticed that nobody saw her. It was like she was not there. Abbey Aster walked right by her, without calling Zoe a name or making fun of her in any way.

Zoe walked right out the door and walked into the forest. She didn't have to go far when she noticed that she didn't have the watch anymore. Her first thought was that Abbey Aster took it, but then she realized that Abbey didn't seem to see her. But what if she was pretending not t see her, so that she could take the watch?

With all these thoughts going through her head, she didn't notice that the watch was on her wrist. Zoe checked the time and saw that the watch wasn't working right. Zoe didn't notice what was going on right in front of her until someone said, "I see you, Zoe Thomas."

Zoe looked up and saw what looked like a portal.

I am sorry that I haven't written in a while. I have been very stressed with online schooling, and I think I am failing a class because of it. I like choir but I don't like singing in front of people, so I got the courage today to complete an assignment that was due a month ago. My teacher hopefully understands because she knows that I don't sing loudly and that I don't like to sing in front of people. I would like to thank my friends,  @username_kendallHale  @Leosnumber4  @carmenharger for all of your support. I know that you are lying about saying how good my book is, but I hope that my best friend can create an account soon, because I want him to tell me what he thinks of my book.
