"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ME BEING THE LAST SAPIEN ALIVE and moreover what is this SAPIEN thing, I have a name" I lashed out at him due to frustration.

"Well then what's your name"?

"Lynx Lockwood"

"Lynx that's a nice name, you can call me Gabard and I am a doctor by profession"

"Lynx , your race became extinct around 100 years ago as they fought a fierce war against the aliens " He said without an inch of hesitation.

"Yes I know about the war, I was serving the army during that war , so what happened didn't we win it"?

"You won it and at the same time lost it" Gabard said.

"What do you mean, please be more clear"? I asked.

"You did accomplish your mission of winning the war by destroying most of the alien army but at the cost of your specie. Your race bombed the whole supercontinent simultaneously not leaving a single patch of the land not under the blast radius. The bombing did destroy the most of the alien army leaving them unable to fight for around 60 years. The bombing couldn't completely destroy the alien race. They still have their successor in this world. But your race got completely wiped out".

I was listening to him as he was unfolding all the events during my long sleep.

"After the bombing our scouts informed that the supercontinent was starved of life and at that moment our king Gorgon III decided that we shall rehabilitate the Pangea. It took us time to get adapted to the new land but we managed and prospered this wasteland which your race left behind".

There was nothing else for me to say. There was total silence in the room.

"Hoy, so he is awake. I told you doctor, to call me when he is awake. What were you doing with him" a goblin barged in breaking the quite which had been created just a few minutes ago.

It was a goblin type I hadn't seen before , he was taller than goblins I had seen ages ago, smarter by the way he walked and kind of well built. His personality was intimidating, and his voice was very much mature.

"Nothing I was just checking if he retained his past memories" Gabard replied

" Good, since you are awake we will be going ahead with our plans. Here eat this and take some rest. After three hours I will come to pick you up" he said while tossing a can towards me.

"What plan"? I asked

" You will get to know shortly" he exited the room grinning.

Honestly after seeing his grin I couldn't rest for a second .In my mind I was constantly thinking of all the possible outcomes. And then the judgment time arrived. My hands were chained, I was blindfolded and they covered me with a cloth so that no one can identify me. I was carried in a carriage. I could hear the surrounding voices which hinted that I was in a city. After reaching the destination I got off the vehicle and a person held my hand and guided me inside another room. I was made to stand at a point.

"And today we present to you, the most PREEECIOUSSSS discovery of the century" I could hear the voice reverberating which hinted me that I was in a auditorium.

The blindfolds were taken off of my eyes and the scene unfolded in front of my eyes

I wasn't shocked at the scene, of course this was one of the possibility that had come to my mind

I wasn't shocked at the scene, of course this was one of the possibility that had come to my mind. The hall was filled with demi humans covering their faces due to privacy and security matter.

"The only remaining individual of his specie. It was discovered a few days ago. Buy it and make it a part of your belongings. As he is the last of his kind he is a very valuable asset that you wont be able to find anywhere in todays world. So the bidding will start at 50,000,000 Krantz" the goblin who is my owner for now was appealing to the bidders to make a bid.

"55,000,000"....."65,000,000"......."70,000,000"......"71,000,000".....the bidding went on for a moment until

"150,000,000" the auditorium was in a utter silence.

"150,000,000 1...2....3 SOLD!!!. The ITEM is sold to bidder number 458" The goblin congratulated the bidder and thanked everyone for attending the auction.

I was waiting in the lobby of the hall wearing a placard with number 458 waiting for someone to come and fetch me. After a while three tall and well built dog faced beings wearing black long overcoats, black shades and black hat came to fetch me. They made me sit in the horse drawn carriage and rode me off to someplace.

Surprisingly they didn't blindfold me. Looking outside the window of the carriage, I could for the first time since I had woken up get a glimpse of the world in which I was going to live from now on. The infrastructure was of 1850s type during human era. Wooden building not more than one floor. The roads were unmetalled. The dressing style was of 2000s. If I were to comment on their lifestyle, they were living a lifestyle of late 1930s. It must be because they had to start from the scratch after they set their foot on Pangea.

Even though I wasn't chained I didn't try to run from the carriage. After all where would I run and go. The people with whom I had grown up were all dead long ago. There was no place which I could call my home. No one whom I could call my family and return to. And no community to which I could belong. In this world where I am the LAST of my specie how will I spend my life. I wonder.
