🌿🌿🌿🌿Ivy's POV🌿🌿🌿🌿

Fortunately, we had Alfred to help us move our stuff into the manor. Unfortunately, when we were moving things there was a crowd of paparazzi that was crowding around us, wondering why two random girls (luckily we were wearing disguises) were moving in with Bruce Wayne.

We kept our faces covered and didn't answer any of their questions, though.

After we finally finished moving all our things to the manor we got to see our new room. And boy, was that room the fanciest and most comfortable looking thing I've ever seen. This room makes my apartment look like a tiny shed.

*This is the room:*

I think Harley really likes it, considering she's been jumping on the bed for the last twenty minutes. Sometimes it feels like I'm dating a seven year old and other times it feels like I'm dating a murderer. It's a fun relationship.

I love Harley. We've been going through a lot of big changes lately but I'm glad that we're going through it together. We also both influence each other a lot. When I'm around her I'm more easygoing, and when she's around me she's a little more behaved.

Alfred appears at our doorway.

"I've moved all your stuff into your room; I hope you like it. Also, please take no offense to master Bruce's constant grumbling and eye rolls. He's like that to just about everyone."

"It's fine, Alfred." I say.

"Oh, and it's currently five-thirty so dinner shall be served in approximately thirty minutes."

I thank him and he leaves. Looking at Harley I say, "So I bet a few years ago this isn't how you pictured things would be."

She shakes her head and sits down on the bed.

"Not at all. I always assumed that I'd just be serving Joker until one of us was killed, but when I stayed at your house again I realized that I wanted more. More than just being some kind of slave."

"Mhm. I always knew you could be more than that, but you just kept going back to him." I say.

She changes the subject. "So did you quit your job at that flower shop?"

I nod. "Yes, since I figured I could just make a profit being Batman's sidekick."

Harley stares at the floor. "Hey, Ivy? Can I tell you something?"

"Of course, Harley."

"I wanna thank you for always being there for me after the Joker abused and used me for years. It really, really means a lot."

I blush. "It's no problem. I always stuck by you because I've loved you for years now."

She blushes furiously. "H-hey Ivy?"

"Yes, Harley?"

"I-I love ya."

I begin to blush furiously as well.

"I l-love you too, Harley."

"I hope you like your room." Bruce says before eating a bite of green beans and steak.

Harley nods vigorously. "Ya bet your grumpy butt we did! That place was amazing!"

I chuckle and eat a bite of green beans.

"You know Ivy," Bruce says, "I've always wondered why you're a vegan if you want to protect plants. It's always beguiled me."

I shrug it off and ignore him.

"So, Bruce, will we get payed as your sidekicks?" I ask.

He nods and takes another bite of his food. "We typically get payed for defeating villains and criminals. The citizens are grateful to us and in return they give us any money they can. I don't usually take it since I protect the people for reasons other than money, but I understand if you both take it.

"I also wanted to say that when we're out on the streets you may see some villains that you used to work with or that might've been your friend, but you're protecting this city you need to forget about any relationships you've had with those villains and just protect Gotham. Do I make myself clear?"

Harley gulps nervously and we both nod.

One reason I never really liked Batman/Bruce Wayne is because I just don't like men. They think they can tell everyone else what to do. Bruce Wayne does the same thing and while I hate it, it's the only realistic way Harley can become a better person like she wanted.

I glance at her.

I'd do anything for her.
