I looked at Jimin, watching the civil administrator sort through the paper work. I could see Somi and Jaehyo talking amongst themselves. This was it. The day I was marrying Jimin.
I turned to the administrator, silently sorting through our paper work. The sound of the papers flicking was getting irritated. I felt like I had just sat an exam and it was being marked right in front of my face.
Jimin placed his hand over mine. I looked up at him and smiled lightly. He nodded his head back and looked at the administrator again. I sighed softly. This whole getting married thing was kind of scary.
"You okay?" He hummed lightly, brushing his thumb over the back of my hand.
"Yeah." I mumbled quietly. I didn't know why I felt so tense. I knew this was gonna happen eventually. I had already survived my engagement, so simply signing these papers shouldn't be that hard.
"Wow this is really happening huh?" Jimin popped quietly, leaning close to me.
I guess he felt the same way. I didn't really consider how he felt up until now. In my mind he had the upper hand to our deal anyway. But it wasn't like that at all. I had no idea how much he had to deal with other than work. This fake marriage was the least of his worries compared to everything else.
"I'm just glad I don't have to wear another long ass dress." I chuckled lightly.
"You still good in that dress." He said, glancing down at the dress he picked out for me today. I don't know why he did, but he insisted on me wearing this one specifically. I didn't mind though, it was a really pretty dress. It was light and flowy unlike my engagement party dress and was a light shade of pink, covered in tiny, little white flowers.
"Hey, you wore the tie!" I popped.
"It only seemed right," He shrugged. "Plus, I really like the little pug." He smiled, pointing at the stitching on his tie.
"If the witnesses could sign here." The officer popped loudly, looking over at Jaehyo and Somi.
Jaehyo made his way over, throwing a thumbs up at us. He grabbed the pen and signed the papers, handing the pen over to Somi who followed him closely. She quickly signed the papers and smiled at me, moving back behind me again with Jaehyo.
"And now the couple," The administrator said, handing me the pen.
I looked down at the blank space. This was it. The day it all began. My life as the wife of Park Jimin. I placed the pen onto the papers and scribbled down my signature, staring back at the ink of the papers. Jimin gently tugged the pen away from my hands and quickly signed the papers too.
"Congratulations! You're now legally married." He hummed, snatching the papers up and tucking them back into a folder. We thanked him and made our way back to the living room, whilst Somi walked him out the house.
I flopped down onto the couch. Finally, it was done. Technically the deal didn't start until we were officially married, and now that we were it was only a matter of time before I get my full payment and I can leave this dump.
Jimin sat down next to me, spreading out over the couch. "It's weird we got married in our living room." He chuckled lightly, turning his head over to me.
"Aren't your parents gonna be mad that we got married like this?" I asked, closing my eyes and leaning my head back on the couch.
"Oh well, it's done now and it's finally out of the way." He shrugged.
"Yah Aerin-ah," Jaehyo groaned loudly. "I thought I was gonna be your maid of honour?" He popped.
"Jaehyo, for the last time we're not doing a big wedding."I grumbled, pulling a pillow out from behind me and throwing it at him.
