I grabbed my jacket, placing it over my arm, and looked back at Jimin sound asleep. He no longer had a fever, and I was glad. I didn't know how much longer I could put up with being Park Jimin for a day, and yet even now I'm about to sit in a meeting that could possibly decide fate for his company.
I'm surprised he let me go in his place. Going through a few files was nothing compared to sitting with people who built the company and deciding the fate of the company. I don't know how he handles the weight of it all. He didn't seem fazed when I told him what was up, and he was very confident in the idea of me taking his place.
I felt both encouraged and nervous at the same time. It was nice knowing Jimin had so much trust and confidence in me, but at the same time I've never sat on that end of the table in those meetings. Usually, I was always beside him. And this time I don't even have him at all, it was all up to me.
I gently closed the door, and made my way down to the kitchen. I took a coffee pod from the cabinet and placed it into the coffee machine, watching the hot liquid pour into my mug. I picked up my coffee and gave it a little stir with a spoon, watching the golden brown swirls soon around.
"You sure you're gonna be okay today." Jimin hummed, walking up behind me.
I jumped up, almost tipping my mug over. "For the tenth time, I'll be fine." I popped, holding it down in place, before it spilt everywhere.
"Maybe I should come along just in case." He said, leaning over and opening up the file.
I quickly flipped the cover over again, pulling it away from him. "Maybe you should go have some breakfast." I shot back, placing the file into my work bag.
"I'm not hungry right now." He mumbled, sitting down next to me and stealing my coffee away from me.
"At least try one of the things I made," I popped, pulling his arm down with the mug moving away from his lips. "I didn't know what you'd want right now, so I made different things. Now go take your pick."
"You made all that for me?" He popped, staring back at all the dishes I made for him sitting on the counter top.
"Who else our imaginary dog?" I retorted. I looked back at him, "You know what, a dog wouldn't be a bad idea." I hummed, wriggling my eyebrows at him.
"We're not getting a dog." He huffed, filling up a small bowl with rice and piling on the other foods.
"Aww why not?" I frowned, cupping my mug and taking a sip of coffee.
"Because they're so annoying and need constant attention." He retorted, popping a piece of meat into his mouth.
"A bit like someone else." I scoffed under my breath, rolling my eyes at him.
"Whatever. If you don't leave already I'm gonna go instead." He snapped, watching me quickly get up and put my jacket on.
"Alright I'm leaving." I hummed, grabbing the file of the counter and waving at him before I made my way to the front door.
"Want me to drive you?" He called.
"No, you need to stay at home." I popped, turning the knob on the door.
