Soobin clutches his wrist tightly and bit his lip, trying to ignore the pain coming from his right wrist.

"Fuck, I must've bumped into my soulmate somewhere. This shit fucking hurts." Soobin muttered to himself as he continues to walk to his classroom.

At the age of 10, your soulmate tattoo starts to be inked on your skin. At the age of 18, your soulmate tattoo fully develops together with your soulmate's name. Your soulmate tattoo is your soulmate's representative flower, with the stem of the flower being your soulmate's name, inked beautifully in cursive font. The tattoo is placed along your right wrist, specifically along your radial artery, where you can feel your pulse.

Unfortunately, your soulmate's flower only blooms when you actually meet them in person, and when they rub your tattoo after you make physical contact. The only way you can sense if your soulmate is near is when your tattoo starts to dig in your skin, like its being tattooed all over again. To put it simply, it hurts like a bitch. You can only feel it when your and your soulmate accidentally makes skin to skin physical touches , like when your arms or fingers brush against each other. The only way to let it subside is to apply a cream on it or let your soulmate rub your tattoo.

The second last bell just rang, and the corridors were flooded with students, making it hard for Soobin to walk through like a normal human being, and that's where he guessed that he had bumped into his soulmate in the sea of students.

He quickly took a seat beside one of his friends and cousin, Beomgyu, who was in homeroom together with him.

"Did your tattoo act up again? Seems like it hurts pretty bad, hyung." Beomgyu commented, watching his hyung who was struggling to keep his composure from the pain he was feeling.

"Yeah, must've bumped into him when I was walking down the hallways. God, wait till you turn eighteen and you can feel my pain." Soobin groaned, feeling the pain intensify for a short while.

"Can you grab the cream in my bag and help me out?" Beomgyu quickly tries to find the cream in the front pocket of his bag and applied it on Soobin's tattoo. Soobin muttered a small thanks as he finally got to breathe again.

This was a normal routine for the both of them, as Soobin has yet to find his soulmate, and Beomgyu's tattoo is slowly coming together. Soobin can only rely on Beomgyu for help when the tattoo brings the pain that comes along with it.

"You're turning eighteen soon, how do you feel about it? Knowing your soulmate and all?" Soobin asks, genuinely curious.

"To be honest with you, I'm excited and scared at the same time. Like, knowing the person you'll be together with for life is amazing, but I'm scared to go through all that pain until I finally meet my soulmate. It's complicated." Beomgyu sighs.

"I get it dude. You'll get through it."

"Yeonjun-hyung, you okay?" Taehyun asks, his voice laced with concern.

"Y-yeah, it hurts a little, but its okay now. Can you pass me my cream?" Yeonjun answers, voice barely a whisper as Taehyun rummaged Yeonjun's bag and passed the cream to Yeonjun.

"Your soulmate must come to this school then, hyung. Any plans on finding him soon?" Taehyung questions.

Yeonjun bit his lip and glanced at his soulmate tattoo. It was a pretty yet complex design of a anemone flower with the stem reading 'Choi Soobin'. Yeonjun thought that the design was very exquisite, just like his partner, though he has never met him before. Yeonjun was determined to find his soulmate, mainly because he wanted the pain to be gone, and also because he was ready to love his soulmate with all of his heart.

The fact that his soulmate goes to his school makes the process a whole lot easier.

"Yeah, I'll find him but not anytime soon. It's no fun in finding him so quickly though right?"

hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter! yes, this book will have mid-length chapters to try and keep the suspense living ya know ;) but yes i hope this lives up to your guys' expectations! expect a lot more from this book (i told you not to expect much in the intro but uh im pretty stoked for this book so yes ahaha) & enjoy! i'll try to update every monday! stay safe xx
