"Choi Seoyeon, please ask your brother to stop running." Soobin told his daughter, who was already catching up to stop his brother, Choi Hyunbin from running around the beach house, in fear of him falling down and injuring himself.
Soobin sighed at the child's behaviour, before Taehyun walked into the living room.
"Damn, the kids are all going crazy today." Taehyun said, watching their children play at the open area near the house.
"Tell me about it." Soobin shook his head and rubbed his temples lightly, already getting a headache when they barely did anything.
Here, let me tell you how they got to this situation right now.
Many more years have passed, and Soobin was now in his early 30s, still in love with the one and only Choi Yeonjun. The five in the group were all married, and adopted kids. The Taegyu couple had 2 kids, one girl and boy just like Soobin and Yeonjun, while Huening and Felix had one boy. They were all busy with their own careers, and Soobin decided that they all should take a week off to go out on a trip together to a beach house and have some fun after a long time.
The five of them were excited, including their children. They've met a few times, and the kids are already so close to each other.
"Papa, where is Hamin?" Hyunbin asked Soobin, who was looking for Taehyun's son.
"He's with the rest in the living room, playing a game with Hyeonho." Taehyun said, and ran to the living room where his son, Hamin and Huening's son, Hyeonho was sitting down on the sofa, eyes fixated on their phones.
"Goddamnit, that was so fucking close. Let's stop playing this, it's giving me a headache." Hyeonho said, tossing his phone on the sofa and pressing on his nose bridge, clearly agitated that he lost.
"Language Hyeon!" His father called out from the kitchen.
"Sorry dad!" He yelled back, before turning to the other two boys.
"Suit up in your swimsuit kids, we're going for a swim at the pool." Yeonjun announced, earning cheers from all the kids. They quickly rushed to their specific rooms to change out into their swimming attire and fished out all their tubes and water guns.
They spent their time at the back of the house, where the huge pool was at. Soobin, not being able to swim just sat down and watched the rest, enjoying the view of the beach and his family and friends having a good time together.
He was enjoying looking at the vast sea, until a figure walked up to him, blocking his view.
"Why aren't you in the pool with us love?" Yeonjun asked his husband. Soobin looked up, gawking internally. Yeonjun was shirtless, with the beads of water dripping down his toned and fit figure left Soobin drooling internally and Yeonjun smirking.
"You know I can't swim, Yeonjun." Soobin pouted, tilting his head. Without any warning, he was scooped up easily by Yeonjun, earning a yelp from Soobin.
"Junnie! Put me down!" Soobin squirmed in his husband's hold, hitting his arm repeatedly. "Choi Yeonjun!"
"Relax, I'm here. The pool isn't even that deep, you can stand darling." Yeonjun replied, chuckling, tightening his grip on Soobin as he let go of his lover to stand on his feet.
"I know, I'm just scared okay?"
"Soobin hyung, you're literally 1.85 metres tall and the pool is only 1.5 metres deep. That's literally a 35 centimetres difference, you won't drown hyung." Taehyun comments, making the rest laugh.
"Shut up!"
After hours of playing in the pool, kids running around attacking their parents with their water guns, they finally went back into the house and took a refreshing shower before coming back down to get the barbecue started.
Night had finally come, decorating the sky in a beautiful mixture of dark blue and black, with the stars twinkling and the moon shining upon them, creating a beautiful reflection on the surface of the sea. The kids were chilling inside the house while the five boys were setting up the ingredients and the grill for the barbecue, occasionally feeling the breeze hitting them as they did so.
"Taehyunie, how do I do this?" Beomgyu asked his husband, who was busy cutting up the ingredients on another table. Looking up at him, Taehyun sighs and walked over to him to help the poor boy out. Beomgyu was struggling on how to season some ingredients and Taehyun just shook his head. How does one not know how to season meat? He thinks.
Felix and Huening were in the kitchen, making ramen and heating up rice and making grape slush for everyone. Felix was in charge of cooking, while Huening was in charge was making the slush, a skill when he obtained years back.
"Eat up everyone! Please clean up after yourselves once you're done." Yeonjun finally announces and everyone replied with a 'Yes' and 'Thank you for the food' before digging in. They were sitting altogether but their parents on one side and the kids on another side of the table, talking as they ate and enjoying the meal.
"Hey, don't steal my meat hyung! You have yours!" Soobin hears the kids shouting and just shook his head, letting a small smile slip. The atmosphere was just filled with laughter and talks that brought back memories to the five of them. Never would Soobin imagine that they would still continue a friendship like this after so long, but here they are.
Soobin leaned back into his seat, and rested his head on Yeonjun's shoulders, watching the whole scene with so much fondness in his eyes.
This was really something he doesn't want to lose, nor exchange for anything in his life.
