Soobin woke up feeling extra excited for today. He even woke up about 15 minutes earlier than the designated time that he set on his alarm. It was finally the d-day, and it was probably his senior instincts kicking in and reminding him that this is his last year here and should do his best for today to at least have a good memory to leave high school with.
I mean, all the years in high school is great, and the festivals held annually is also great, but he just can't wait to move on to the next phase of his life with a fresh new page, and leave all the bad memories plus drama behind.
Before he jumped in into his shower, he glanced at his soulmate tattoo. He silently hopes that he can at least meet his soulmate today, or at least get a glimpse of the boy he met previously at the cafe. But wait, he doesn't even know if that boy goes to the same school as he does.
Soobin groans and quickly jumped into the shower.
---
"Soobin hyung, I love you, but could you tone down that smile on your face? It's bright and it's scaring me."
"Don't speak with your mouth full." Soobin scolded his cousin. "I'm just really pumped for today okay? I have a feeling that it's a good day today."
"Mmkay, whatever you say, hyung."
The two quickly finished their breakfast before cleaning up and picking up their bags to get to school. It was a walking distance, but if the two would take the bus if they felt lazy on that day. Soobin encouraged walking to school, since taking the bus would just be a waste of money as it was only two stops away.
They walked in comfortable silence, but also took turns to strike up a conversation as they made their way to school.
The moment they stepped into the school's hallway, it was nicely decorated with a few balloons here and there with different banners and streamers hanging from the ceiling, and posters of the event line up and different booths everywhere.
"Alright, I guess I'll catch you later for your performance! Good luck, Beom!" Soobin chirps, giving encouragement to his cousin.
"Alright, I'm the third item, and Huening's after me. We'll find you once we're done okay?" Beomgyu reminded and Soobin nodded before separating ways to walk over to the art booth.
It was starting to get busy as everyone was setting up and the other students are starting to flood into the main stage area, waiting for the festival to fully commence.
"Alright, Seoul Arts High! It's the time of the year again where we host our very own festival, but this time round we have our very own vocal and dance team to perform today! Without further ado, don't forget to have fun & let's get this festival going!" The emcee announces, and the crowd applauded loudly. Most of the students left the area to go look around and stopped by some booths that caught their attention.
A few students came by Soobin's booth, and he quickly went back to work and started drawing his caricature pieces. He was pleasantly surprised when students stopped by to get a drawing, and soon enough, there was a queue situation going on.
As he was drawing one of the student's caricature, the emcee popped back out on stage and announced that the performance line up is going to start soon.
"Okay Seoul Arts High, we're going to present to you today's event line up, so start to gather back around if you're interested, which you should because there's great performances today. Grab some food and sit by the benches to watch the shows! So first up, give it up for the drama team!"
