Soobin heaved a sigh of relief when he finally sat down on one of the chairs behind the counter.
"Tired already Soobin-hyung?" Beomgyu teased as he watched his hyung slump against the wall.
"Shut up Beomgyu, give me a break," Soobin hissed as he closed his eyes.
It was a bright sunny day out and Soobin is stuck here in the cafe together with Beomgyu to work his shift. Well, what can you say? He's just a 18-year old student trying to get his life together, and was fortunate enough to find a job as a barista that was paying enough to pay rent.
It was a busy day today, as customers slowly filled up the cafe. Soobin had been taking orders non-stop and Beomgyu making the drinks and serving them. It always starts to get packed at around noon, where people come in to grab some beverages or light pastries to munch on. What can you say, they worked at a popular cafe that many people visited.
When Soobin was about to get comfortable, the sound of the bell ringing - which indicated a customer had just walked in - startled him and he quickly walked back up to the counter, half annoyed that someone disturbed his short, yet valuable resting time.
"Welcome, what would you like to order?" Soobin asked with a small hint of annoyance without looking up at the customer. And when he did, oh boy, his breath hitched for a second.
How can someone be so breathtakingly beautiful when he's not doing anything at all?
"Uhm, can I get a warm vanilla latte with a slice of cheesecake to go please? Thank you."
"O-oh yeah sure! Of course." Soobin stutters, a slight shade of pink dusted his cheeks, embarrassed that he just stammered like that in front of a customer that the doesn't even know.
I mean, who wouldn't drool at a sight of a blue haired boy wearing a black bandanna that was covered by a part of his bangs, with a simple white graphic tee paired with black jogger pants and vans and earrings that completed the look. Soobin still couldn't understand how that guy is able to pull off your typical idol trainee look so perfectly.
Soobin was definitely not checking that guy out. Totally.
"H-hey, I was just wondering, are you a trainee? D-don't get me wrong, you just look like one." Soobin finally asks, after a mini debate within himself. The blue haired boy seems pretty intimidating when he met eyes with Soobin and he quickly gets flustered, thinking that he shouldn't have asked that question.
To his surprise, the blue haired boy just chuckles, and Soobin's heart swells at the sight.
"No no its okay, I get that a lot. But to answer your question, I'm not a trainee, but I'm a dancer, so yeah, I guess I do dress up like a trainee." The blue haired boy replies with a soft smile and Soobin feels his cheeks get hot again.
"Y-you look good though!" Soobin compliments and the boy just mutters a small thank you, probably embarrassed from the sudden compliment. As he was just about to get to know the boy's name, Beomgyu cut him off by handing him the boy's order.
The boy gladly accepts his order and thanked Soobin. "Thanks, I'll be sure to come again!" Soobin awkwardly waves as he watched the blue haired boy leave the cafe.
Without him noticing, Beomgyu slowly walks up to his side and whispers, "You're so whipped Soobin-hyung."
"Shut up."
