"Alexa, Alexa wake up", Alice said pulling my foot.
"I still want to sleep", I said pulling a blanket over my face. "
Wakeup sleepy head", she pulled the blanket away from my face.
"Fine I'm up", I yawned.
15mins later
In the kitchen
"Good morning Ashley", I hugged Alice's mom.
"Morning mom" Alice kissed her cheek.
We all settled down for some pancakes.
"Ashley, have you seen my mom this morning", I asked.
"She left last night ......"
"for a business trip", I sighed
"Don't take it the wrong way, I'm sure she'll be home by Tuesday", She smiled.
"She's the owner the company, why can't she just take time off and spend more time at home or she'd rather sit in her boring office doing nothing" I said looking frustrated.
"Don't feel bad, You know since it's Saturday why don't go say hi to Margret, I'm sure she'd be happy to see two" She smiled handing me a basket of apples and carrots. Give these to her, tell her I'll see her soon.
"Can I take Kipper", I picked up the dog.
"Sure, Oh and don't forget be back by ......."
"Lunch time, we know", We both laughed as we headed for the door.
