Zoey and I were pretty much the same size in everything. This meant that I was forced to try on pretty much everything in her huge wardrobe. I liked almost everything she put on me but she just shook her head. Finally she settled with squeezing me into a skintight hunter green tube-top that was ebroidered with a lighter shade of green sequins. She also tried to put a very sparkly skirt on me but I politely rejected and picked a medium length, flowy black skirt that showed off my lower legs. Then she moved on to my chocolate brown curls, which she brushed carefully. She placed a golden circlet on my head and turned me to the mirror. "Oh my Jesus Christ." I breathed. Zoey had gone for an au naturale look for me. Which meant no makeup, foresty greens, and no hair products. "I feel like that she-elf from the Hobbit or something." I commented. Zoey laughed. "Relax, you're a natural beauty!" she said. I looked at her with my 'really' face. She smirked at me but said nothing. I sighed, shook my head, and watched her get ready. She vanished into her walk-in closet, which doubled as her changing room. I waited for a few long minutes before she emerged from the depths of her very extensive wardrobe, looking totally different, and totally awesome. She had managed to tame her fiery red hair in flowing curls much like mine. She was wearing just as much makeup that I was wearing, absolutely none. I suppose she didn't want me to stand out too much, because she was wearing almost the exact same thing I was wearing, just in different colours. She wore a gold coloured tube-top embroidered with elegant violet sequins. SEQUINS! Sorry. Zoey was also wearing a medium-length, flowy white skirt that matched mine but, again, different colours. She was also wearing a matching gold circlet. We both wore flats, only mine were black and Zoey's were white. She pulled me off to the canteen as a long bell rang, signifying that dinner was almost ready to be eaten. We reached the large room and I raised an eyebrow. A stage in the middle of the room had been set up and four men, including a familiar ginger, were preparing a few instruments. Zoey dragged me over to Hannah, who was supporting a still drunk Kaeyi, Minty, who was hiccuping quietly, and Kim, who . It appeared that Hannah, Kaeyi, Minty, and Zoey had planned a matching wardrobe and dragged me into it. Hannah was wearing a light blue top with silver sequins, and a white skirt. A silver circlet rested on her blonde hair. Minty was wearing a light pink top with darker pink sequins, and a black skirt. Her circlet looked as though it were made of wood. Kaeyi had on a white top with gold sequins, and a black skirt. Her circlet matched Hannah's. Kim was wearing a dark purple top embroidered with black sequins, and a black skirt. Kim wasn't wearing a circlet, but a simple black necklace. All in all, we had gone for an elven look from Lord of the Rings. There were several boys who I had yet to meet loitering around, waiting for the food. A couple had noticed us and were pointing and whispering. I didn't feel quite so ridiculous now that I knew that I wasn't alone in my elven glory. Kim took over taking care of me for Zoey and led me over to the group of boys. "Ok guys, this is Freya. No teasing her. At all. Ever." Kim said sternly. Several of the young men nodded meekly. I looked at my purple armed companion. "I've got access to Duncan's vault where we keep the bazookas." she whispered. I laughed. A loud crash came from the kitchen, followed by angry shouting. Everyone looked at each other and sighed collectively. "What's going on?" I asked Kim. She looked up at me, she was quite short, and smiled sympathetically. "Our chefs aren't cooperating. Come on, I won't have your first meal here be so uncoordinated." she said, gesturing for me and Zoey to follow her. Zoey jogged over and I followed them to the kitchens. More crashes echoed from the room as we pushed the door open. A blonde haired man in a lab coat was angrily chopping onions. On the other side of the room, Rythian was dumping noodles into a pot of boiling water. "Duncan, what have you done?" Kim asked, her tone bored. Zoey ran over to Rythian's side and watched him as he added beef to the pot. "What makes you think I did it?" the blonde man asked angrily. "Because you're the one who's cutting the vegetables." Kim replied. I hung back by the doors. "I'll tell you what he did, he came into the magic room and screwed everything up!" Rythian snapped. Zoey facepalmed. "Seriously? That's what he did?" she asked in disbelief. Rythian looked at her, though his gaze was not angry. "Zoey, he smashed three of our volcanite amulets." the man seethed. Zoey turned her piercing blue eyes to the scientist. "I tripped on the rug!" the blond man said in defense. "I don't have a rug." Rythian said dryly. "Oh." Duncan said quietly. "Good. Sorted. make the soup. Together!" Kim ordered. Duncan groaned. "Kiiiiim! I don't wannaaaaaa!" he whined. "Too. Bad. Work together, or Freya and I are doing it for you." Kim said. Rythian huffed and Duncan squeaked. "But I wanna keep my tongue pink." the scientist whispered. "What was that, Duncan?" Kim asked innocently. "Nothing!" Duncan said quickly. Rythian chuckled. Zoey pecked Rythian on the cheek and took the onions and the knife away from Duncan. She handed the cutting board to Kim and shoved Duncan out of the kitchen. Rythian got the hint and left. "Freya, can you cook?" Zoey asked me. I shrugged. "Good, stir the soup. Kim, no peppers." the fire-haired girl said. Kim pouted and put the peppers back into the fridge. I chuckled and stirred the soup. So far, there was beef and noodles in the large pot. Zoey added the chopped onions and asked Kim to get the mushrooms. She sauteed the mushrooms then threw them into the pot as well. I added some salt and Kim poured out most of the water and added milk. I couldn't help but notice the label said lactose-free. I kept stirring the soup as Zoey added some tomatoes and a few carrots. Kim threw in some corn and potatoes. We let the soup simmer as we made desert, cinnamon buns, courtesy of Zoey. I made the icing and the other two made the cinnamon bun part. We put them in the oven. Once the cinnamon buns were done, we smothered them in icing and put them in the oven on low heat to keep them warm. Kim deemed the soup ready and fixed 27 bowls. She put nine bowls of soup on a tray and handed it to me. I took it out and set it on one of the tables. I went back into the kitchen with an empty tray and Kim put nine more on. I carried them out and went back into the kitchen yet again. Nine more bowls were placed on the tray which I carried out and put next next to the others. I carried the tray back and we left the kitchen. Everyone got a bowl of soup and sat down to eat. I sat with Kim and Hannah, who were sitting with Nilesy, Lewis, Duncan, and a short ginger man who I didn't know. "I'm Simon, Lewis's right-hand man." the ginger man said. I smiled and nodded, my mouth being full of soup. Suddenly, microphone feedback blared from speakers in the ceiling. "Hello all, are you ready for 11 night?" asked a voice that I knew. I looked at the stage, surprised when I saw it was Tom and the three men I saw earlier. The people around me cheered. "Okay, we'll be starting with a new song, Override. Then we'll be doing Cassandra, followed by Dream and Reality, then In The Blind, and finally Heaven Piercing Giga Drill." he said, picking an odd looking instrument that seemed to be a mix of a keyboard and a guitar. The music was fantabulous, it was like nothing I had heard before. I was sad when it was over. I yawned and stared at my bowl and plate. "I feel sorry for the person who has to do the dishes." I mumbled. Hannah grinned, seeming to be wide awake. "We generally leave the chores to Sjin because he gets up early. But since you offered..." she trailed off, a smirk lingering on her lips. "Oi, I cooked dinner!" I said defiantly. She laughed. "I know." she said, the smile dropping off of her face. I glared at her. Hannah laughed and prodded Kim, who had dozed off. "Wha?" Kim mumbled, shooting awake. Hannah grinned. "That's not funny, guys!" Kim whined, the purple ooze on her arms swirling and glowing. "Calm down, Kim. You can't expect us to carry you." I joked. "Yes I can." she said in a bratty voice. I shrugged. "Okay, then. Suit yourself." I said scooping the tiny asian girl up and lugging her around before tossing her on Duncan's lap. The scientist blushed slightly before viciously tickling Kim. The purple armed girl's laugh rang throughout the room, alerting several people to the fearsome tickle fight. It appeared to become an epidemic. Tickle battles spread through the room like wildfire. When the laughter finally died down, people began rising from their seats and leaving the room. Kim escaped from Duncan's grip and led me up to my room. "So, what did you think of 11 night?" she asked. I grinned. "It wasn't bad, I definitely wasn't expecting to see Tom up there though." I remarked. Kim's eyes widened. "He lets you call him Tom?" she whispered in awe. I furrowed my brow. "Um... Yeah.." I answered slowly. She stared at me. "Wow." she breathed. "What's the big deal with me calling him Tom?" I asked. Kim shrugged. "He just makes everyone call him Sparkles*. That's with an asterisk, mind you." she said. I yawned. "Well, I'm exhausted. So get the hell out of my room and let me sleep." I said sharply. My smile betrayed me and Kim just laughed and walked out. "Night Freya." she said. "Night Kim!" I called back. The door clicked shut. I collapsed on my bed, using any energy I had to change into my pajamas. pajamas. I fell asleep almost instantly.
