"Cody, I want you to tell me everything you know about Freya." said a silky smooth voice. I recognised that voice. But from where? "Absolutely not!" spat a hoarse voice. Cody. The room was dark and water trickled from the ceiling. "Oh, Cody. We already know where she is. In fact, we have our best men over there right now. Just tell me what I want to know, and this will be less painful for you. We'll let you go and you can go on with your life. Simple." she purred. I saw Cody, strapped to a chair, his brown hair unkempt and greasy. His skin was riddled with bruises and cuts. His eyes seemed tired but they clearly conveyed his hatred for this woman. And then I remembered where she was from. The woman in the alley. Cody struggled against his restraints. "She is my life." he growled. The woman chuckled dryly. "How touching. Now, I want to know, what are her weaknesses?" she demanded, her voice sharp. Cody smiled. "You know that answer just as well as I do, Moira." he replied. The woman, Moira, shouted in rage. "By the end of tonight, you will be sharing your cell." she hissed. I followed her out of the room. She pulled a mobile phone from her pocket. "Get ready. You're going in." she said. She turned off the phone and smiled. "Oh, Freya. You've hidden long enough." she said.
My eyes flew open. The moon was still high in the sky. A feeling of dread lingered in my stomach. I got to my feet. Somehow, I knew that my dream wasn't just a dream. Something was terribly wrong. I opened my bedroom door and stepped into the dark hallway. I knocked on Zoey's door frantically. Seconds later, a tired-eyed Zoey answered the door. "Freya? What's wrong?" she asked, immediately noticing my terrified expression. "Wake everyone up. Someone's coming." I answered. The fire-haired girl was out the door in seconds. "I've got the girl's hall. You get the guys." she whispered. I ran through the halls, my steps silent. I banged my fist on Lewis's door. "Lewis, someone's coming!" I said as he opened the door. The raven-haired man threw a shirt on and began waking everyone else up. A few minutes later, we were all gathered in the canteen, waiting. "Is it possible you were wrong?" Lewis asked after several minutes of silence. I shook my head. "It was too real. Someone is definitely coming." I replied. We waited with bated breath. And then the doors slowly swung open. Three men stood, gripping two iron blades each. It was a standoff. Lewis stepped forward. "What is it you want?" he demanded, his voice firm and comanding. One of them stepped forward. "We want the starwolf." he growled. Lewis scoffed. "Starwolves haven't been seen for centuries! You're mad!" he laughed coldly. I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped slightly. "Freya, focus. You are a large wolf with silver fur, your eyes are bright green and they glow. Focus on that. Quickly." whispered Tom. I was quivering with fear. "Focus." he whispered. I closed my eyes and focused. Then something felt....different. "Good!" Tom whispered, though it felt much louder. I opened my eyes. Lewis, Zoey, Hannah, Duncan, and Kim were also in wolf form. Nilesy had morphed into a large black panther, and Teep, a silent boy who I had been breifly introduced to, was a.....dinosaur? Rythian had a red sword edged with yellow in his grip and his eyes were shimmering bright purple. Kaeyi had a bow trained on one of the men. Minty was armed with two glinting knives. Tom smiled at me and shifted into a large ginger wolf, though still smaller than me. Lewis beckoned for me to step forward. I obeyed. 'Starwolf indeed.' I heard Lewis's voice echo in my brain. He sounded proud. One of the men grinned. "She's a newbie, guys. This'll be easy!" he said confidently. I smirked. As if. 'You ready?" Zoey asked, her voice was echoey. 'They have Cody. Leave one for me.' I replied. Lewis nodded. I stared at one of the men, the leader most likely. He started doing weird movements, almost like he was trying to play with an overly shy puppy. I crept forward, pretending I was intetested. 'Freya, what are you doing?!' Tom's voice blasted through my brain. 'Playin puppy, you idiot.' I snapped. I heard a chuckling growl from behind me. The scumbag dared to place a hand on my fur. He grinned smugly. "Look, I've still got it!" he boasted. I inwardly smirked. Yeah....not for long. I lunged forward and nearly bit his hand o- yeah nope, there it goes. Blood was gushing from his wrist and the others in the pack had rushed forward, relishing the thrill of the fight. The man stared up at me, terrified. I shifted into human form, somehow still keeping a strong hold on the man's neck. My pajamas were slightly sweaty, but no matter. "Where. Is. Cody." I growled. He smirked. "Oh, Loverboy? He's with the White Dragon." he answered with a laugh. I wasn't feeling the love. "Tell me, or I'll let you die slowly in a pool of your own blood." I snarled. He just laughed, his skin getting paler and paler. "Oops." he said before the life drained from his eyes, and he stopped struggling. I stood, staring at the dead man in front of me. My pajamas were bloodstained, the fight was over. I had lost my chance. But I had a name. "I promise." I whispered. "One day, I will find you." I punctuated my super cliche line by promptly fainting. Yeah, bit too much awesomeness there.
