They were all sitting quietly. Then Kassandra broke the silence,"So , I mean what are you planning to do about it. You have nothing else except for this riddle none of us know anything about. If we knew even a little about it, didn't your grandpa give you any other clue maybe tell you something.". " No, nothing.".Aiden said. Blaze exclaimed,"Woah! Look at the time, I've got to go.".
Aiden couldn't sleep that night. His mind went back to the riddle. The next morning he hurriedly called up his friends and took the diary and the dog with him to the bench. Now that the town was preparing for Halloween they had more time to investigate about this. Blaze was the smartest boy of his age. He suggested,"Does the diary have any more such riddles?"
Aiden,"No, it's just grandpas personal diary about him."
Blaze,"How old was your grandpa?"
Aiden,"Around ninety two years old. But what does it have to do with the riddle?"
Blaze,"It does, cant you see, the riddle says a hundred years later, that is around now."
Aiden,"It also says history will repeat.What does that mean?"
Blaze,"Something might have gone down in history that nobody ever talked about, maybe they didn't want to tell us. Maybe it will happen the same way it did. When is this diary dated?"
Aiden,"It's seventh of October 1930"
Blaze,"Then we need to know what catastrophes happened at that time."
Aiden,"Yeah right, where do find that nobody ever talked about anything unusual in this city."
Blaze,"You are wrong. One thing is there, old newspapers. We can find those in the Kamlin city library. It's the oldest in town , we may find newspapers dating back to the 1900s."
"Aren't you forgetting someone?", Kassie snapped. "By the way what did you keep your dogs name?"Aiden,"I've thought about it.". "I was thinking Benjy."
" No, it will be Leo.Moms going to take him to the vet this week to get it vaccinated. Now let's go to the library."Aiden said
Blaze,"I can't come , I have Halloween preparations to do with mom. I'm sure you have work too. Let's go after Halloween. It will be less busy."
All of them agreed and went to their homes. Aiden was happy since they now knew where to start. His only dilemma was that who was the saviour of the city?
