When they returned to the city Aiden told his friends about what had happened in the mansion. But both of them were not liking the idea of trusting Jennifer. It was a little obvious since she did not have friends and her family was not particularly the one with a lot of contacts. Even during the festival times they tried to maintain their distance and it was as dull as it normally was for them. But Aiden tried to convince them to come because it had become important to him. Blaze and Kassandra only went because they couldn't like the idea of leaving Aiden alone with her, who knows what she might be plotting against them.
The day had arrived when they had to go and meet her. They waited patiently till afternoon while doing the chores. They met at the corner near a lamp post and started walking towards the city library. After reaching there they saw a girl walking towards them. She was wearing a scarf which completely covered her face. She came to them and whispered," Follow me.". They knew it was Jennifer. They turned towards the library but it was where she was taking them. She turned towards the park. They moved hesitantly. They were not sure if they should trust her but still moved.
They reached the park. It was almost night so no one was there. None of them had said a word in the way. Jennifer started moving the heap of leaves that had hid the door. Blaze said,"You know we have gone in there. It's just a dead end." But she completely ignored him and went in the door and switched on a light covered behind the creepers. They all went in and closed the door behind. Jennifer said," You remember I told you that Fluffy had come to you by mistake, I actually sent him to you. He saw that you went through the door and he led me here. So I started discovering this place."
" Why did you sent him behind US. How were you so sure that we are the right people?"Aiden blasted at her. " I didn't. I just trusted my instincts." Kassie whispered to Blaze," My instincts tell me not to trust her." Blaze let out a little giggle. But Jennifer noticed and said,"I know you don't want to trust me. But I'm different than my parents. They are the one who keep me away from mingling with people. I've brought you here because I know about the riddle and I am one of the saviours. That is why my parents keep me inside, to keep me safe."
After saying this she asked for Aidens locket and held out her hand. Aiden gave it to her. She opened the locket where there was a picture of his grandpa and someone else. Jennifer said that it was her grandfathers picture. His name was Owen Goodhart. She pressed the locket against the two holes and surely the door opened. They were all excited to see what was there.
