The next morning they set out to the Goodharts residence. They had Leo with them. Kassandra was wearing her fingerless leather gloves. She kept on saying that they shouldn't be going anywhere near that place, it might be dangerous, who can tell what will happen to us. But Aiden and Blaze didn't pay any attention. It was ten o'clock in the morning and now they could see the mansion from a little distance.
They started walking towards the mansion confidently but as they reached the small woods before the mansion they felt weak and as if something had happened like the air above them changed. But they were determined to go to the mansion. But as they were moving Kassandra stopped in her path looking at one of the trees. There was a rope hanging by a branch. It was a trap. They had to walk very carefully so as to not get trapped, they had to measure each step that they took. As they moved ahead they found all sorts of traps, dug holes covered by leaf, mouse traps and also bear traps. It was astonishing why those traps were there.
" Now I really don't want to go. What if they are the ones who set the traps?"Kassie said with a shivering tone. Blaze assured that as the mayor why would they set traps for their own people but Aiden agreed with Kassie. But they didn't stop their journey. As they reached the end of the forest they found a small lake. It wasn't that deep. Blaze was about to set foot in it when Aiden screamed and said,"Don't!".
