Y/N didn't wake up for awhile. She didn't even remember passing out, not until they were falling from the sky.

At first she was just aware of the wind blowing in her face. It was pleasant, filling her ears with white noise and keeping her cool in the hot sun.

Then she realized her heart was in her throat.

"What the-" Y/N's eyes flew open to see the ground getting closer at an alarming rate, Rayla and the princes all screaming at the top of their lungs. Y/N was quick to join them.

Phoe Phoe was falling at a steep angle, and although her friends were clinging to the moon phoenix's back, Y/N was falling several feet above them, obviously she had fallen off a side soon as they started diving.

Y/N flared her wings open, wincing as the wind force pulled against her weight, feeling like her shoulders would rip off. She managed to slow herself down enough to land lightly on the ground, only to buckle on her injured leg. She tried standing, but cringed as everyone else crashed about 20 feet away from her.

"Callum! Ez? Rayla!" She yelled, irritated with her injury. She couldn't see through the smoke, and couldn't run over to check on them.

She managed to stand, hopping awkwardly towards the phoenix. She fell again, and huffed, blowing a strand of hair out of her eyes.

"We're okay!" Rayla's head popped out from the large pile of blue and black feathers, Zym sitting atop her horns. "Phoe Phoe is too far away from the moon nexus. She doesn't have enough power to carry us all. Are you alright? How's your leg?"

"Can't walk on it." Y/N replied, looking down at it to see it was bandaged. "Thanks for patching it up." She added. The gash went from her left hamstring down to about the middle of her calf, a lot bigger than she had expected. The way it curved suggested Søren had been well on his way to snap her Achilles' tendon, and not by accident. He had known exactly what he was doing.

"Here." Callum has run over, and helped Y/N back up, throwing her left arm over his shoulder and gripping her right to stabilize her. Rayla joined, taking the other side.

"I think I only need one crutch, thanks though." She looked ahead of them, and saw the bay in the distance. "...on second thought, I'll just fly until I get too tired. It will be faster, and something tells me we won't be walking for long."

The princes were very understanding, and offered to walk around the bay rather than cross it. Surprisingly enough, Rayla declined, saying they needed to get Zym across as fast as possible.

Y/N held him in her arms, hovering in the air before slowly lowering her right leg onto the ground, letting Ezran take the dragon prince while Callum worked as her crutch. Rayla soon replaced him when the boys went off to find someone to take them across.

"Stupid knight." Y/N hissed as she accidentally put weight on her leg. "I'm gonna be off this thing for at least a week."

"Less than. I treated it for infection and used Ethari's salve. He gave it to me before leaving on the mission." Rayla said, then fell silent. Y/N looked at the ground, pursing her lips together.

"Is..." her words faltered as she spoke, and she cleared her throat to try again. "Is Runaan alive?" Rayla sat down next to her, grabbing her hand and squeezing it.
