Chapter 8

"Wait, are you saying that you're a Wayne?!?" Roy asked in shock and she simply nodded, "yes. I barely survived escaping our kidnappers, and I finally found my family only to lose any hope I had of going to rescue them because I am now paralyzed from the waist down." She told them and Thea looked at her friend, "how could we possibly help you Reyna?"

Reyna sighed, "you can help me by getting me to my family. I know Roy has a way of communicating with the Arrow, so I want you to give him this." She told him as she handed him a thumb drive that had a copy of all the evidence she'd gathered, "everything I've found is on there. I want you to give that the the arrow or the flash, I don't care who, just get it to them and save my family."

"Ok, I'll try." Roy said as he took the thumb drive and Reyna sighed in relief, "thank you Roy." She took a breath, "ok. Now I think it's time I made it back home and the same goes for you two, I can make it home on my own from here, you guys can head out."

They hesitated, "guys. I'll be fine, trust me." She told them and they eventually nodded and left. Once they were gone, Tim stepped out of the shadows with a frown on his face, "you sure that was the wisest thing to do Reya?" He asked her and she glanced at him and sighed, "honestly Tim, I've run out of ideas. But I trust them, now grab me a new pair of black leggings and a new white tank top and a red button up shirt, these are too bloody."

Tim rolled his eyes and grabbed the clothes his sister requested before he helped her change out of her bloody clothes into the fresh outfit, "you're pushing yourself way too hard right now Reya. You need to rest," he told her and she glared at him. "I'll rest once we get our family back. Now come on, I need a nap." She told him and he laughed as he helped her into her car and then drove them to the safe house.

Roy was trying to help Oliver make sense of the very detailed and thorough notes that Reyna took on the case, "Wait. You're telling me that Reyna Wayne is the one who wrote these notes and got this evidence?" Oliver asked him yet again and Roy nodded, "yeah."

"As in the same Reyna Wayne that I remember could never stay serious about anything and was always laughing and smiling, that Reyna?"

Roy sighed, "yes Oliver, that's the one. However she's not at all like what the tabloids or the reporters make her out to be, she's hiding things Oliver." This caused Oliver to sigh, "look. I've known Reyna for years Roy, and there's no way she could have done all you're saying she did. I mean, that girl has breakdowns whenever she's kidnapped."

Roy sighed but Felicity saved him, "actually Oliver, I did some research on Reyna Wayne and I found this article. It's dated back to five years ago, but according to this newspaper. Reyna survived getting shot in the head and being thrown off a cliff, and then another newspaper says she survived an assassination attempt where she ended up getting stabbed in the chest with a dagger."

Oliver groaned, "guys. This is crazy," he said and Dig looked at him. "Oliver, you have a friend who can break the sound barrier in his sneakers and who's got a team of super-powered scientists working with him. And that's what you're considering crazy?"

Oliver sighed, "what you're telling me just doesn't sound like the girl who's like a little sister to me." Then in a flash, Barry and Wally were in the room. "We both know that not everyone is who we think they are Oliver," he said and the man sighed. "How can I help you Barry?" He asked and the man sighed, "I just got a call from Captain Singh. Apparently my dad's old partner that just got paralyzed was Reyna John Grayson Wayne, she'd joined the police force to find her family. However Commissioner Gordon from Gotham's GCPD called and informed us that Reyna's safe house had been compromised and that Reyna is now missing."

"Well, we do have a lead on where her family might be." Roy said and Wally looked at him, "then suit up. We've got to act fast," and the two archers nodded before they rushed off to change.

Barry placed a hand on Wally's shoulder, "don't worry Wally. We're going to save her," and Wally sighed and looked at his brother, "we better, because I don't want to lose her."

Bruce was absolutely pissed, and it wasn't just from the incompetence of the heroes that tried to save him and his family. No, he was pissed because Tim had been re-captured. Reyna was somehow able to get away and was hiding, but from what Tim told him she wasn't gonna be able to hide for long.

"I'm gonna fucking murder that bastard!" Jason snarled as he fought against his chains and Helena slapped him, "right now we all want to give Andy and his brother a pice of our minds for what he made Tim do to Reya, but this is not the time to finally snap. Reyna is out there somewhere and unable to walk, but she's always been the best at hiding. So if you can keep your head on your goddam shoulders for two minutes, maybe we can do something about this mess."

"Umm, is this normal?" Vibe asked them and Stephanie sighed, "kinda. If you haven't noticed, we've been locked up for five years and the last time we saw our little sister was when they tossed her body off that cliff after they shot her in the head. Forgive us if we're not the most civil right now," she told them coldly before the van came back.

"Ahh, it seems like they caught the bird." Andy said sinisterly as the door of the van slid open and two men got out of it before they yanked out a very beaten up Reyna.

Her lip was busted, bruises decorated her skin, she had a black eye, and she had a few cuts on her skin. Also her clothes were disheveled, and her hair was falling out of the ponytail she'd put it up in.

"Reyna!" Her family said in horror and she looked happy but scared when she saw them, "it has been ages since we last saw you Reyna. Wouldn't you say so my dear brother?" Andy asked his brother and the man smirked, "oh yes. If I remember correctly, I'd just put a bullet in your brain and was throwing you off a cliff into the iced over river in Gotham. Though, you have gotten more beautiful since then my dear."

Reyna growled before she tried to bite his hand, "don't touch me. I might've been nice to you at one point, but never again. You're a fucking bastard if you think I'll just forget about all the shit you've caused you asshole," she told him and then he growled and slapped her hard across the face.

Reyna's head jerked to the side from the force of the hit and her family shouted in protest, "watch your mouth brat." Reyna spit blood from out of her mouth and glared at the man but he then began to turn around.

Reyna just smirked, "and here I thought you were just gonna kill me. I mean you've already failed at it three times. Like you failed when I was nine, then you failed when I was twenty, and I can't even walk because of you. You're a fucking monster, and I hope you rot in hell you goddam bastard."

Andy and his brother growled and they both pulled out guns and aimed them at Reyna, Andy aimed for her head just between her eyeballs, and his brother aimed for her heart.

"No, leave her alone!" Helena shouted and Andy smirked and his brother nodded. The duo had the guards drag Reyna's body closer to her family and they turned their safety's off, and Reyna noticed this and she had some tears falling down her face.

"Dad, thank you for taking me in all those years ago. You have helped me live such an amazing life, and I'm proud to have been your daughter." Reyna said as tears fell from her eyes and Bruce was crying, "don't say that. You're gonna be alright," he said and Reyna shook her head and more tears fell from her eyes.

"We all know that's not gonna happen dad, and you guys have been the best brothers and sisters I ever could've asked for. I'm just sorry it had to end this way," she breathed and Andy smirked.

"Oh, but we're not." He said as he pulled the trigger, at the exact same time his brother did. Their two bullets soared through the air until they hit their targets, and Reyna's eyes widened in terror as the bullets passed right through her body and embedded themselves into the ground.

"Bye bye Grayson," Andy breathed evilly as Reyna's body slumped.

The two guards then tossed her body towards her family, and she bounced off the floor when she hit it. Splattering her blood a little in the process, however with the growing pool of blood underneath her, and her clouded and unseeing eyes. It was clear to see that she was gone.
