Taehyung has a… thing. He’s not entirely sure what to call it… a superpower? An anomaly? A curse? Who cares, it’s not a big deal.

At first he just thought he was a victim to recurring nightmares, seeing as how all of them took place in the same dark mysterious plain that seemed to break everything he knew about reality and physics. He could never make sense of it until one night, in the dream, a door appeared. When he went through, he found himself at home with his brother. It seemed like a pretty normal dream... until the next morning when his brother came up to him and told Taehyung he had the exact same dream. At the time he wrote it off as some strange coincidence, but then it happened a month later with his best friend Hoseok… and again with his first crush (that one was pretty awkward).

Eventually, he started to figure out that if he concentrated, he could pick a person, and go into their current dream. Of course, there are some limitations. It only works if the person is already asleep, and he has to have met them face to face. Which means, sadly, dream dates with his favorite celebrities or visiting political figures to subconsciously persuade them make a certain decision were both out of the question. (he’s pretty sure the latter wouldn’t work anyway, but hey, it’s a nice thought)

The problem with the dream hopping, is that he can never have his own dreams. He’s always either in that weird void-like garden of a “waiting room” or he’s in someone else’s dream.

It’s a nice place –– the garden –– it’s hauntingly beautiful, plus he can fly around and manifest whatever he wants. Sometimes he creates this adorable, fluffy, little puppy to play with… but even with the puppy, it still gets pretty lonely after a while.

Most of the time he just hangs out in Hoseok’s dream with him.

He told his best friend when he was around 14. It took quite a bit of convincing and several demonstrations but eventually Hoseok accepted the situation and excitedly offered to let him come play in his dreams with him. It’s really fun actually, because all he has to do is summon Hoseok’s door, go through, tell Hoseok he’s dreaming (which allows him to become lucid) and then they can imagine whatever worlds they want.

Some of Taehyung’s personal favorites were:
-When they went to Hogwarts, gave themselves magic and pretended to be wizarding students (Hoseok befriended all the house elves and Taehyung tried
-every dish in the great hall)
-The one where they took down an entire crime empire from the inside.
When they joined the Avengers, saved the world, and then went to Asgard and got drunk. (Tony’s an obnoxious drunk, Steve gets clingy, and Thor’s a crier)

So yeah. That’s Taehyung’s life pretty much: dream hopping, video games, and soccer.

Primarily soccer.

Taehyung is officially in his third year of university, and his 16th year playing the wonderful, wonderful game of soccer. Ever since his first soccer game when he was a wee child, Taehyung has been in love with the game. His passion drove him through years of intense training and stressful competition, but it eventually paid off. He didn’t make varsity until his sophomore year, but they rarely let freshman on the top team, so he didn’t mind. Last year their team went all the way to the championships, and along the way, his teammates have become some of his closest friends.

Well… all but one.

Jeon Jungkook: sophomore, cocky, and the absolute bane of Taehyung’s existence.

It all started last year when Jeongguk just waltzed on up to varsity as a fucking freshman. He was so damn cocky about it too, still is. He hogs the ball, has this stupid smile on his face everytime he scores and is a total kiss-up to the coach. The worst part is, everyone is absolutely enamored by him. It’s all “oh, Jungkookie is so sweet!” “Jungkook brought cookies!” “Isn’t our little Jungkookie growing up so handsome?”

Taehyung wants to punch him in his stupid perfect face.

It’s not one-sided either. Oh, no, Jungkook has long since dropped the nice act with Taehyung. The two are constantly at each other’s throats and are well known around the school it. Last May, Jungkook filled Taehyung’s athletic locker with hentai magazines. So when opened his locker after practice, dozens of copies of Hentai Weekly spilled out in front of the entire team AND the coach. Jungkook had a good laugh about that one.

It’s fine though. The next week, while Jungkook was in the shower… Taehyung took all his clothes.

So yeah, basically, they don’t really get along, but this year Taehyung is determined not to let the boy get to him. Not this year. This year coach is going to choose a new team captain since their previous one graduated, and Taehyung will be damned if Jeon Jungkook gets in the way of getting that spot.
