Taehyung recognizes where he is immediately: he’s back in Namjoon’s apartment, standing right at the entrance where he first walked in the night before. Okay, so Jungkook was dreaming about the party, that makes sense, Hoseok has re-creation dreams a lot too.

He walks further into the apartment, the setup is exactly the same from the party: cups tossed carelessly on the floor, music softly playing in the background, soft red lights illuminating the atmosphere.

Carefully, Taehyung peeks his head around the corner to where the groups had been sitting in real life, but to his surprise… there were only two people in the room.

Jungkook, obviously, and… wait. No, hold on that can’t be right.

He squints aggressively at the back of the other man’s messy blonde head.

It can’t be.

Yeah no that’s definitely the back of his head. Jungkook is… dreaming about him?

He panics and ducks low enough to stay out of sight but still able to observe the scene play out, which is when he notices that the two aren’t actually alone. Sitting around the circle are 14 shadow like figures. He’s seen it several times before, it means that Jungkook’s brain recognizes that there’s other people there but isn’t focusing on them enough to develop them into corporeal states.

Basically… it means he has all his focus and attention on Taehyung at the moment. Well, Dream Taehyung.

It’s the same scene that played out in real life so far: Jungkook laying on the floor, shirt unbuttoned, salt lined up his abs, and Taehyung hovering above him ready to take the shot.

He watches with burning curiosity as Dream Taehyung tosses back the tequila and bends down to lick the salt from his abs.

If he had a real body his stomach would probably be fluttering right about now.

Then he notices that there are a few minor details different from what actually happened: for starters, Dream Taehyung’s hand is gripping hard at Jungkook’s pelvic bone where in reality his hand was on the ground next to the boy’s ribs. Secondly, Dream Taehyung is moving his tongue up his torso at a pace much slower than he did… but things really go haywire when it’s time to take the lime from Jungkook’s mouth.

Dream Taehyung lowers himself seductively and bites the lime from the younger’s mouth, only this time, instead of standing back up and bowing, he tosses the lime to the side, tangles his fingers Jungkook’s messy black hair, and pulls him into a heated kiss.

Taehyung’s jaw drops to the fucking floor.

He keeps his eyes glued to the scene, expecting Jungkook to shove his dream self off of him, laugh it off, maybe say he’s disgusting or some shit. Literally anything but what he actually does next.

Jungkook glides his hands around Dream Taehyung’s waist and under the hem of his shirt so he’s gripping at the elder’s bare skin, pulling him down closer to his body. Suddenly the younger lets out a soft whiny moan and why the fuck does he sound so good like that, what the fuck.

He can’t look away, mesmerized by the scene playing out in front of him. Something else has to happen this can’t be it. There’s no way Jeon Jungkook is seriously having a… a… what is this, a sex dream? About him?

Fuck. Of all the things in the world he could have guessed to see when he entered this dream, watching himself grind down on a moaning Jungkook was at the absolute bottom of the list.

When Jungkook pulls Dream Taehyung’s shirt over his head, he finally looks away, suddenly feeling like he’s intruding on a private moment. He closes his eyes and wakes himself up, effectively pulling him from the dream and from whatever the fuck that was.

Taehyung bolts up in his bed, struggling to catch his breath while very strongly avoiding the fact that his body had a… uh… rather physical reaction to what he saw in the dream. (Because no, he absolutely refuses to believe he has any kind of hard on from watching himself make out with his ex-enemy, current rival for captain, possibly new friend, Jeon Jungkook.)

He’s not sure what to make of the dream or what it means in regards to Jungkook’s behavior from earlier, and is left with more questions than answers.

Well, shit.

Taehyung always got a bit of nerves before games but for some reason he’s especially nervous for this one. Maybe it’s because he didn’t get much sleep last night, or maybe it’s because he can’t seem to focus on anything other than a certain dark haired forward.

Drinking a pregame protein shake? He’s remembering that fucking body shot.

Putting on his uniform? He’s imagining Jungkook taking his off like the shirt in the dream.

Pumping up his soccer ball? Well… you get the idea.

It gets to the point where when Jungkook approaches him while he’s in the middle of stretching, he literally jumps.

“Hey.” He says, staring at him with those damn doe eyes. “I wanted to apologize for yesterday… I just wasn’t in a good mood, but I shouldn’t have taken it out on you.”

“T-thanks.” Taehyung stutters (fucking stutters). He clears his throat and awkwardly pats Jungkook’s shoulder. “Don’t worry about it, it’s in the past. Are you okay though? For real?”

“I think… I just really enjoyed hanging out with you over coffee and I thought you did too so it kinda hurt that you were so quick to want to stop.” He admits, looking down at his shoes.

Oh. Oh that makes so much more sense. Guilt washes over the blonde when he realizes how unnecessary it was to visit Jungkook in the dreamworld last night. He invaded his privacy for something he could have easily waited to talk about in person.

“Shit, I didn’t mean for it to come off that way...honestly I have no idea why I said that.” The younger looks up at him with hopeful eyes. “You’re not the worst company to keep, I suppose.” He sigh over exaggeratedly.

“Yeah?” Jungkook laughs, quirking an eyebrow.

“Yeah.” He smiles. “However, I really am not a morning person, so we should probably just start hanging out at normal times like most frie...wait, are we friends?” He asks more for himself than anything else.

Jungkook pauses. “Do you want us to be?”

He nods sincerely.

“Then yeah, we’re absolutely friends.” He smiles before running off onto the field.

“Alright everyone let’s go!” Seokjin claps, signaling the players to get in position for the kick-off. “Play smart, play as a team. Let’s go Tigers!”
