They meet again the next day, and the day after that and it slowly gets easier to have a full conversation without getting into a fight (you know what they say, old habits die hard). Mostly they spend their time exchanging interests, what they like and what they don’t, with an occasional story here and there.

Here are a few things Taehyung has learned about Jungkook in their little meet-ups:
His favorite color is black. (Big surprise there)
He has a small white rescue dog at home named Gureum.
His favorite superhero is Iron Man.
He’s a business major and minoring in photography
He hates coffee, but drinks it around Namjoon and Yoongi to look cooler and more mature.
He’s scared of microwaves.
He loves dancing, and sometimes goes to the dance studio with Jimin after practice to learn new routines.
His eyes sparkle when he’s talking about something he’s excited about.

(That last one might have been a small personal observation.)

By the time practice on the third day rolls around, Seokjin actually pulls them off the field at the end and thanks them for being mature, actually listening to him and trying to solve their issues. Taehyung could see the genuine pride in his eyes and it made him realize just how much they tired everyone else with their quarrels.

Ever since their truce, the team has been brighter, no one has to walk on egg-shells, afraid they’ll set them off like a grenade. It’s a bit weird at first –– being so civil and normal with someone you used to fight with on the daily. It’s not a bad weird though… just… different.

When the night of the party arrives, Taehyung finds he’s actually kind of looking forward to seeing the younger outside of soccer or the cafe. Of course, they’ve been to parties together before, but they’ve always either avoided one another, or gotten into a fight. So this will be a new experience.

He steps into the living room where Hoseok is waiting, typing away mindlessly on his phone. After four or five outfit changes, Taehyung thinks he’s finally settled on something that’s not trying to hard but still shows off all his features in the best way.

“Okay, thoughts?” He says, calling his roomates attention.

The brunette’s eyes immediately widen as he looks his best friend up and down. “Holy fuck, Tae.”

He’s wearing black ripped jeans that hug his ass perfectly, with a loose, faded peachy-gold silk button down shirt. The top three buttons are left undone so it hangs slightly off his shoulder, exposing his collarbones (another excellent feature of his). Around his neck hangs a dainty gold chain with a sparkly chanel pendant dangling from it. His ears and fingers are adorned in an array of jewelry that match the aesthetic of the outfit perfectly.

It’s by far one of the better outfits he’s put together for himself.

“Damn, are you trying to kill everyone in the room? You look like a fucking greek god, holy shit.” Hoseok gapes. “You’re gonna have people falling for you left and right I hope you know that.”

Taehyung barks out a laugh but blushes at the compliment nonetheless. “You’re one to talk! Look at you, you adonis of a man!” He twirls his finger above the elders head, Hoseok gets the message and spins around in a circle to give him a good look at his outfit. Taehyung whistles.

“Alright, come on you dork, we’re already late.” Hoseok laughs, grabbing things and ushering them out the door.

The party is already in full swing by the time they arrive. From a brief scan around the room, he sees that the whole team is here already as well as most of the dance team. Jihyo (the captain of the dance team), her boyfriend, and Namjoon are all happily chatting away over by the stereo system. Yoongi and Seokjin are laughing pretty hard about something while mixing drinks. In the center of the room, a few of the dancers are trying to teach a couple of the soccer players the choreo to the current song playing.
