KHARISE
***
Ever had that day where it seems like nothing works out for you and everything and everyone is just out to get you?Yeah well, that day is everyday for me.
My day is rarely ever goes according to plan. It usually starts out as a minor accident first thing in the morning, like today for instance, which happens to be the first day in my senior year at Henderson High. I stubbed my toe pretty badly, hence, I can't wear my favorite white sneakers.Oh well, who cares? I'll just wear my ugly blue sandals.
As I was saying, my day usually then ends with me losing, breaking or destroying something important to me...
Or having a yelling match with my dad... story for another day.You are free to conclude that my life pretty much sucks. It was at least bearable when Xander and Xavier were still here. My awesome elder twin brothers always have my back. They are literally the coolest people I know.
So when they left for college, I was devastated to say the least. My parents' attention fell on me. I suddenly couldn't go to so many parties anymore and my dad practically scheduled my life...
You see, when Xander and Xavier were still at Henderson High, they were popular, you know, cool kids. Hence, my parents had to keep a close eye on their growing teenage hotshot sons.
And obviously, because they were popular, I was pretty popular too, but without all the trouble from my parents.Every girl in school, including Layla, my air-brained yet totally amazing best friend, thought they were the most gorgeous people to walk the earth...
Supposedly, they were that good looking.
It would be understandable if either of them was the school quarterback or something since that is usually the type of guy high school girls fawn over. But Xavier can't kick a ball to save his life and the only balls Xander ever kicked were those belonging to the freak show that tried to pick a fight with me in my freshman year. Apparently, they just had really good looks.
So yeah, every snobby, pathetic cheerleading bitch wanted to be friends with me in hopes of getting to either one of them.
One time, this cheerleader named Mallory, I think -Or was it Cynthia?- Hey, I cannot be blamed for not knowing the names of every pink-haired obnoxious cheerleader in school. Let's just call her Blondie.
Alright back to the story.
Blondie came right up to our house one evening and Xander happened to be the one opening the door.
"Hi, I'm -insert whatever her name is here- . I'm a friend of Darcy's. "
She said, gesturing towards me, who was peacefully sitting on the couch in the living room, minding my business.
