"Goodnight, mommy."

"Goodnight, Kazuki." Hearing his breathing slow, she tucked the edges of his blankets in and tiptoed out of the room.

"Finally fell asleep?"

"I told a longer story today, so it took a while."

He hugged her from behind, whispering sweetly in her ear. "Well, the Shadow King missed his queen while she was away."

Her cheeks flushed lightly. "I didn't know you were listening."

"I was going to walk in, but you looked rather engaged. It was a good story."

"Yes, but the real story doesn't end there." She turned to face the man had become her husband. They faced a lot of adversity in the past, but now they savored the sweetness of the present. Kyoya called her his queen, but in reality he pampered her like a princess. Yuna remembered how he spent an entire week looking for ten competent men named Sebastian just because she said that all butlers should be named that. She thought about how he always kissed her forehead in the morning, even if she wasn't awake yet when he had to leave for work, or when he always whispered "goodnight" while holding her in his arms.

Indeed, the real story of true love does not end when we ride off into the sunset, but that at every sunrise you are still beside me.

I could hear his heartbeat as my head rested against his chest. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Thank you to all the readers who made it this far. I originally started this book as a breather from schoolwork and other academic writing, but it was really fun and I hope you enjoyed it too. There's probably a bunch of grammatical errors and the writing style changed because I was on hiatus for like two years, but I think I'll keep it the same. (Also I am too lazy to go back and rewrite it.) But, overall, stay safe; be strong; and cherish those you love. May each of you find the light to your shadows. :)
