“What is the patient Han Hyo Joo diagnosis from Room 1008?”

“Oh! Hyo Joo?..... She had an operation for a biliary cyst three days ago.”

“Can I see the record?”

The nurse hand me the record of the kid, after studying her record I immediately gave it back to the nurse and went back to Hyo Joo’s Room with two of the nurses.
“Since when has she been this lethargic?” I asked the mother who already panicking about her child’s condition maybe sensing that there’s something wrong about her kid.

“She’s been like this since yesterday morning saying that her stomach hurts.” Says the mother while I’m checking the kid’s body with my stethoscope

“When did she start vomiting?” I placed the stethoscope on both side of the kid’s tummy to check if there’s something wrong. “Is she urinating well?” I asked again after placing the stethoscope back on my gown’s pocket.

“No, not since yesterday.” Said the mother who already has tears falling on her eyes.

There’s something wrong on the kid’s previous operation I said to myself. As I’m looking on the kid’s who’s having convulsion.

“It’s urgent! She needs another operation…. She is Manager Park’s patient, right?”

“Yes.” Said the nurse.

“Who were the assistants?”

“They were fourth year HPB specialists.”

“Call Manager Park now!” I told the nurse and she immediately went outside the room

“Please help my daughter. Please.” The head nurse went to the mother side to calm her down because she’s been crying since a while ago.

What should I do! Darn it. If she was just my patient it would be easy to take her to the operating room without a problem but she’s the other department’s patient. I keep walking back and forth thinking to what possible solution I could do right now.

“Nurse Kang.” Muttered the Head nurse. I stop from my tract and look at her.

“Manager Park, went to seminar. He said he’ll be in two hours and he also said not to touch his patient.” Nurse Kang said.

“Did you told him that it’s urgent?”

“Yes. Professor Im.”

What to do! This kid can’t wait him. The operation should be performed immediately or this child will be in danger. I have no choice now. The kid´s life was more important than that hospital rules.

“Prepare the operating room.” I held the edge of  Hyo Joo’s bed and pulled it.

“Professor Im! No you can´t. You heard her, manager Park said not to touch his patient” Head Nurse Bae tried to stop me by pulling the bed to her.

“We don’t have a choice. So, Move!” I pulled the bed again so that we could take her to the operating room

“Why aren’t you stopping her?!”  Shouted the Head nurse to nurse Kang but the nurse seems to be shocked and don’t know what to do. “Nurse Kang!” Head Nurse Bae shouted again.

“I don’t care anymore. I’m sorry.” Nurse Kang pushed the other edge of the bed towards the doorframe of the room and we took the kid.

“Nurse Kang!” Head Nurse shouted from behind but we didn’t stop and keep pushing the kid’s bed to the operating room. “Nurse Kang, wait!”

We decided to use the elevator so we can go to the operating room as immediately as we could but the head nurse used her hand to stop the elevator door from closing.
