John's POV:

Nothing has changed, huh? The traffic is still pretty heavy.

And the café we used to love was still here. It looked like it had a new owner because of the renovations but I hope the ambiance still feels the same.

I was here because I missed how this place made me feel comfort, maybe it's because of the memories we had here.

My thoughts were suddenly distracted when my phone rang and when I checked I just let it ring for a few times before answering it. I just missed annoying people. I walked inside while talking on the phone.

"Hoy! Nagtatampo na kaming lahat sa'yo. Di mo man lang sinabi na bumalik ka na pala." Agad na bungad niya pa sa'kin.

"Di ka naman nagtanong."

"So kailangan na pala naming magtanong muna para ma-inform kami? Bahala ka nga!"

"Tampo ka na n'yan? Halika Josh, lalambingin kita."

"Gago! Di naman ikaw asawa ko. Di ka nga um-attend nung kasal namin."

I was by the counter already at hinihintay na ang order ko.

"Importante ka ba?" pagbibiro ko pa

"One Iced Americano please." I told the lady by the counter. She nodded and told me how much it was and I handed the payment.

"Aray ha! Halika na nga dito at mag-usap tayo ng harapan." I slightly laughed by myself because I could clearly imagine how he would look like.

"Mamaya na, pagod ako." Totoo namang pagod pa ako and I just needed coffee kaya ako umalis.

"Sus excuses. I can hear you ordering a cup of coffee. Mas importante pa ata kape kesa sa amin."

"I just arrived yesterday, I'm tired. I'll contact you guys maybe tomorrow." I missed those guys pero pagod talaga ako.

"Excuse me sir, name please." the girl asked

"Kyle." I simply answered and she nodded. I remember that whenever I was here with her, we would always use our second names for our drinks. It was our own sweet endearment perhaps? People rarely call us with that, so we instantly knew who was calling who.

"Hoy ayu---" I didn't let him finish and just ended the call.

I looked for a spot to sit at while waiting. I was looking at our favorite spot here at the café by the glass window at the fac corner but I saw that the space was occupied. The one near that was vacant, so I decided that maybe I could just sit there.

I slowly walked towards that spot when I suddenly felt my heartbeat rapidly beating.

"Di pa naman ako umiinom ng kape." I told myself while putting my hand by my chest.

Unconsciously I caught myself staring at the person sitting at our usual spot. I believe it was a girl and she was very much absorbed on what she's reading. It reminded me of her and how she loved reading books. Her presence felt too familiar, she looked too familiar. I didn't want to expect anything but as I got closer and realization hit me. I stopped because I was both afraid and excited to approach her.

She still gave me the same feeling.

She was wearing an oversized cardigan on with a simple pair of shirt and pants. Her hair was shorter than before, it was about above the shoulder. She had a simple make up on but still accessorized with her pair of glasses. She matured a bit but I loved how she looked right now.
