It had been almost two years since Joanne's birth. Now almost two years old, she was a delightful bundle of energy, while Charly, at almost five, was already showing signs of becoming a wonderful big brother. Stefani was awake early, as usual, quietly moving through the house to avoid waking Bradley. Today was his birthday, and she had planned something special.
Balancing a tray laden with breakfast in one hand and holding Joanne's tiny hand in the other, Stefani maneuvered through the house with practiced ease. Charly, full of excitement, ran ahead to the bedroom door and reached up to grasp the doorknob.

Not so fast Charly!

Stefani placed the tray on the bedside table and gently lifted both children onto the bed. They were too small to climb up by themselves. She put a finger to her lips to signal that they should be quiet. Charly snuggled up to Bradley's side, hugging his stomach, while Joanne wriggled her way onto his belly. Stefani leaned over and kissed Bradley softly on the lips. His eyes remained closed, but he returned the kiss with a smile.

Happy Birthday sweetheart!

Bradley opened his eyes, a sleepy grin spreading across his face. He pulled her in for another kiss and then looked down at their children.

Happy Birthday daddy!

Dada! Bippfayy!

Good morning my angels!

He sat down and hugged his two children tightly. She gave him the tray and smiled at him.

Ohh Stef, that looks delicious! Thank you so much!

I love you! Thank you for everything!

He pulled her on the back of her neck and kissed her again, not getting enough of her ever.

I love you so much more! You are my best gift ever!

Oh dear! Ehh, I still have a bun in the oven! Be right back!

She quickly got up, taking Joanne with her. Charly stayed in bed with Bradley, sneaking a piece of bacon off the tray. In the kitchen, Stefani dressed Joanne in a little t-shirt and put some fresh buns on a plate. Once everything was ready, she returned to the bedroom.

Here are the buns! And a little present, I hope you like it and you are happy about it.

Stef, you don't have to give me anything!

I didn't do it by my own, it was ... teamwork I'd say! And the kids did something for you too.

She gave him two sheets with little drawings on them.

Charly painted us as a family and Jo tried to paint Asia.

The two looked at the drawings and smiled slightly.

They are beautiful you both!

He gave both a big kiss on the cheek.

Thank you so much! I think I'll hang it in my office on my photo wall, right after breakfast.

As it was still early in the morning, Charly and Joanne soon fell asleep again, nestled close to Stefani's side. Bradley looked at them, his heart swelling with love.

Time for the important gift!

Stef, you really didn't have to! I don't need anything except you and these two angels there. You are the only thing I want!

You're really cute darling, but open it up now. I hope you're happy about it!

Bradley opened the box and found a t-shirt. As he unfolded it, he saw the words "The Perfect Daddy" printed on the front. Next to it were handprints from Joanne and Charly, Stefani's hand, and a heart with the number three. Bradley ran his fingers over the handprints, a tear rolling down his cheek.
