I'm Lonely

Maddie's POV:

I sigh as I FaceTime Josh again, him not answering for the third time. 
He said he would always answer. 
What is he doing?
It's only 2:00 pm there...
Maybe I'm just overthinking this. 
I don't know. 
I feel like something might be happening. 
I groan and through my phone on my bed, flopping down not far behind it. I don't even realize but soon my eyes start burning and tears start rolling down my face and I cover my face with a pillow. 
I didn't know long-distance would be this hard.
Why is it this hard?
Is Josh thinking about me like I do him? 
It's been a week since I left LA but it's felt like a year. I decide to just text him. 

Maddie:
Um... Hey Joshy

Maddie:
Oh um... okay.
Joshyyy:
Oh sorry, I'm a little busy rn
Maddie:
Oh ok doing what?
Joshyyy:
I'm with Ant, Jaden, and Bryce
Maddie:
Oh ok tell them I say hi
Joshyyy:
Will do. Anyways, gotta go ttyl
Maddie:
Ok thanks! Bye... see you later!

I sigh again. 
This doesn't seem like Josh. 
He's acting so weird. 
I decide to text Ant and Jaden to see what they're doing.

Yo. You guys hanging out with Josh?

He left somewhere last night and still isn't back
Maddie:
Um... where? With who?

We don't know.

He said he was going to meet Sam and that they we're staying at a hotel.
Maddie:

Maddie:

This might be true but why would he lie...? I decide to text Bryce who's number I got from LA even though we've never talked.
 He might answer me. 

Maddie:
Um... Bryce?
Bryce:
Um... yes?
Bryce:
Why are you texting me?
Maddie:
Are you with Josh?
Bryce:
No. 
Maddie:
Do you know where he is?
Bryce:
Don't know, don't care. 
Maddie:
C'mon Bryce! I need to know.
Bryce:
I don't know! He left last night! I think he's with Sam! But idrk. 
Maddie:
Oh um... thanks. 
Bryce:
Now don't text me again. 
Maddie:
Um... ok bye.

Maybe Josh is just with Sam. 
I should be more trusting.
I decide to go for a run to clear my head.
